Good aftermarket replacement
This replacement works perfectly. No leaks or squeaks, and rotates smoothly. Many valve cartridges look very similar and the seller was very helpful in making sure I got the right one.

Not for Altmans ...
... at least, not for mine. The cartridge fits the valve body, and it works very well. However, my handle did not fit the broach. I verified that both were 16-point, then I measured the diameter. The Altmans broach is 0.360 in in diameter, but the LF broach is 0.365. There is no way that it would fit. I am returning this item and trying a Lasco cartridge (model S-187-1NL). Hopefully, that one will have the correct size broach for my Altmans handle.I should probably give it a 4-star rating, but I felt confident that it would work for Altmans.
