Excellent dust extractor!
Works a treat! Compact, powerful and portable! Highly recommend getting a cyclonic dust filter to use with this. Basically, it sits between the vacuum hose and the power tool. £15 quid on eBay (they look like closed plastic funnels with two ports - they're essentially dust deputy rip offs) + a 20 or 30 litre plastic barrel. You cut a hole in the barrel lid and attach the cyclonic dust catcher. This means you rarely need to empty the extractors filter bag (which some people complain about). with this setup the suction stays great for longer, filter bag lasts longer and makes clean-up/ emptying much easier. Overall great piece of kit!

Very good but needs adapting.
It's good for the money. It has powerful suction, convenient design, is portable and multi functional and packs away neatly, BUT, as mentioned by others, the dust bag is its major weakness. Fine dust from sanding can pass through the bag material and some ends up in the motor housing which no doubt accounts for the the problems some have had with it eventually going kaput. The answer is to put the dust bag inside another paper hoover bag adapted to fit (with the help of some tape). It is a compromise which I wouldn't accept on an expensive machine but for the money you do get a very useful tool which performs very well.

Didnt last long
Not suitable for dust. If you search for these online they are actually meant for wood work. Not useful for general dust collection as it goes everywhere. Also the hose isnt long, so you cant use it for connection to tools. Disappointed.

OK if not used for fine dust
This is an OK product providing it is not used to collect fine dust in any significant amount The filters are quite coarse and I found that they were not Workplace Exposure Limit (WEL) rated. I used it with a 1/4 sander to flatten emulsion during DIY decorating in my house. It worked great for a couple of days untill a sudden mass of dust blasted out of the rear exit port and the motor went screaming into overdrive, made worrying noises and finally konked out giving off a burning electical smell. Looking inside, dust was everywhere and clealy had entered the motor housing. In simple, there is an absence of effective dust containment to the bag box. OK for wood shavings but not fine dusts, which you will get when sanding wood. ToolStop arranged a prompt collection the next day. I moved on to buy an dust extractor with a WEL rating of L.

Lasted 3 months and no replacement or refund from Amazon
Don't waste your money. This item lasted 3 months and then the motor went bang. Read the other reviews and you'll see this is common. At first this product was excellent but then it was clear that the filters and gaskets are not up to the job. Dust leaks out into the tool area and into the motor. Eventually the dust will start exhasting out of the motor vent and and then the presence of dust in the motor will kill it. It lasted 3 months, £66 for three months use. That is a 'not fit for purpose' product and of course Amazon don't want to know. Buy from somewhere that offer some aftercare.

Brilliant
Great bit of kit which works really well and fits most of my power tools. Packs away under the bench when not in use. Extremely light and easy to handle. Bag needs emptying quite frequently but proves how effective it is.

Good machine for the price & as I have other Scheppach machinery I thought I would try it.The only issue I have is the dust bag which is useless, I have had two replacement bags & both of them the Zip broke. You cannot get disposable dust bags to fit, so I have had to be creative in using a disposable bag from another make, otherwise I have no complaints with the machine.

Close but no cigar
I wanted to like this product but it just isn't up to the job. The filter bag doesn't retain dust and most of it ends up inside the vacuum unit itself. Opening the box to get the hose out throws dust everywhere! Fine for picking up wood shavings but for sanding/fine particles look elsewhere. It's a neat a design and I like the way it packs away, but if it doesn't do the job properly then what's the point? Gone back to using trusty old Henry.
