Raleigh - Avenir - TRA084 - Replacement Axle Mounted Trailer Hitch for Avenir Trailers

Perfect replacement for the clamp fitting on my Avenir Cleveland! Ridiculously easy to swap. Need to be mindful to catch the spring once in the tube but once you've caught it, bolt together and voila. I will say that it doesn't stay still once the adapter section you can leave on the bike is installed. That turns under the wright and pressure but atleast it works. Can't fault it. Made my trailer work when the clamp is just not suitable for easily 80% of bikes. This works perfectly.

My item was shipped uber fast, and it was an awesome pleasure to remove the death trap 'stay hitch' of the original mule design to this beautiful 'burley hitch' style mount, which is now sold on the new model mules. The package contains; a bracket, that's secured to the rear wheel (ps if you have a flange over the wheel nut it means you need the extender which is available from Burley), the locking pin, the legally mandatory trailer 'safety strap', the securing nuts and bolts and the spring assembly.

Worked well pulling a luggage trailer through Austria for 5 days. Replaced a failed unit that was very old. These have a rubber core so can be a bit "bouncy" but the previous stiffer core model failed so hopefully this will work better. Came with the tow-bar element to fit on the bike. I struggled with the towbar bit as it was hard to seat correctly on my aluminium MTB but that was more a feature of my bike.

We bought two so that we could put one on both of our bikes. They are quick and easy to use but overall I'm not so sure that they're worth the money charged. The trailer we bought came with a standard attachment which would have been adequate.

Changed by bike and the standard clamp wouldn't attach to the chain stays without the back wheel interfering the front of teh trailer frame - this hitch moves it back a good 10 cm.

The Item was exactly as the picture indicated, good quality , very happy with my purchase, thank you and would look again to if I wanted to buy something.
