Nova RicoTactile Relief Illuminated Globe - 30 cm

Love it, brilliant, when lit the countries stand out clearly, when not lit the topography stands out clearly. I've put a LED bulb in (1.4 watts) so can leave it on for virtually nothing and it doesn't get hot any more. The bulb will probably last me out at my age (73)! Also turns quite easily, have it close too, watching various TV programmes, in case I'm not sure where somewhere is. Nice size too, not too small to read the letters and not too big to take over a room. Had it over three and a half years, wouldn't want to be without it. Expensive, but well worth it.

the globe is beautiful as well being educational. PLUS a fantastic price on Amazon Prime ..... I ordered 2 one for myself and one for my brother... he loves iti have just tried to order another one for my granddaughter, but it has gone back to full price.I am so disappointed.I will keep checking the price.

I bought this for my daughter as a Christmas gift from Santa (and that's why I cannot return it). The map/markings are clear but the quality is shoddy - squeaking & wobbly when turnning the globe; the frames are made of cheap plastic (even the silver paintings are looking so obvious it's covering plastic); and the most importantely, in many areas the map layer (feel like a layer of paper) is not glued properly to the globe - you can press it down with a slight touch. Given the price tag, it's shocking to see such a poor quality.

The globe itself is really good quality but the silver arm is very plasticky and spoils the overall effect. Had to return for a refund because it was bought as a gift and the wooden base arrived scratched. There is no packaging inside the box to stop the pieces knocking against each other save for them being in individual plastic bags. The size is great - easy to read but not overwhelmingly big.

Bought as a gift for my son so we can explore different places in the world and learn a bit about geography. It's plastic with a wooden base, so not fine furniture quality, however I think it will be sturdy enough to use for years and is good value.

Very nice globe bought for a geography student who is very happy with it. The transformation from a physical globe to a political one when the light is on is very effective.

This was a gift for someone, so very disappointing. The two sides of the globe are uneven. Not worth the expense.

We spent quite some looking for globes, and visited the travel bookstore in Covent Garden which stocks a lot of globes, before getting this one.The kids love it, and it is quite sturdy and looks decent quality. It is cool at night to use it as a night light.We originally bought a cheaper one but it was too flimsy so we sent it back. This one has a more solid base and feels like it can last the kids childhood with a bit of luck.
