During a recent stay in our family holiday home a light bulb had to be changed, just when we had several of our Millennial cousins over, quite a treat in itself!. When asked to change a faulty light bulb two of them simply couldn’t do it probably because they lacked the appetite, ‘skill’ and confidence - though their excuse was that they were too busy with social media posts. The one that took on the job first created a ‘safe-space’ for the light-bulb to go to avoid being offended that it's being replaced…This is a decent set of fairly reliable light bulbs with a small screw to stock up our supply at our holiday home that is occasionally rented out. They usually last about 1.5 year with daily use for a couple of hours. At its brightest the lamps give good light , good enough for reading. We used them in touch-switch bed side lamps, so these bulbs are dimmable. The drawback is that these are halogen lamps, not LED’s, so they are not as energy and therefore cost efficient.

I like the fact that it is a bulb and lights up when I switch it on

I have a terrible proplem with bulbs as I have to climb up and replace them! Looked at these as it says they last a long time, WRONG....about 6 weeks after replacing the 5 in my ceiling light, I was once again climbing up on the step ladder to replace one. UGH. Will try a different make next time.

I bought these light bulbs for my cooker hood. They fit very well. The two bulbs provide a very bright light when you are cooking. I cannot judge about longevity because I have them since January. But everything has been good so far.

A light bulb's a light bulb! I can't judge longevity and hope not to do so for many more years (where do these reviews come from?) What is nice is that they fit old style lampholders and shades far better than earlier eco bulbs did.
