I’ve got half a dozen or more aftermarket mounts. In my 2018 Accord this is the winner for stability while driving. A+

This is a nice way to establish a mounting point on an air vent in the car. In my case, I am using this to hold a magnetic charging pad for my phone - attached via the universal ball.The clip itself is primarily plastic. The mounting mechanism is actuated by a large wheel and rachets into place, holding the clip to the air vent. The base of the clip provides stability by pressing against the face of the air vent. The only caution I would provide would be that this clip will work best on air vents without curvature as it counts on the base to press against the face of the vent. In my case, the clip appears to work quite well.I took a star off because the tip of the mechanism that has to go into the air vent is the thickest portion of the clip, and would not fit into the vent. I was able to lightly bend the air vent vanes so it would pass through. This is another caution, however. If your car has rigid vanes that a closely spaced, this solution may not work for you.I look forward to continuing use and seeing how this item performs over time.

I installed this several weeks ago and it hasn't moved at all... Perfect!! I've tried a few different vent mounts and they were all terrible. This one worked like a charm.

This is the best GPS mount I have found. I supplement it with a zip tie to provide a reliable, sturdy mount for a Garmin GPS with a 7" screen. I use it in a Subaru Crosstrek to mount the GPS to the right of the center console screen.

I was going to buy a new mount, but then remembered amazon had everything so i looked up a replacement for what I needed. I brought the phone mount from WalMart and this piece fits just fine. Only thing is the piece that they gave to help secure may not fit so don’t throw the secure part away to the mount cause the one that is provided is not a universal fit.

So far so good. I've bought versions of these for my Galaxy Fold 4. All keep breaking from the weight after 6 months. Let's see how this one goes.
