Delicious Fermented Vegetables
100⭐from me, this Kenley fermentation crock has been an excellent purchase because I am fermenting a napa cabbage, a whole cauliflower, brocolli and a bunch of asparagus spears and it is only about 75% full!Tasted today after 14 days of fermenting and it tastes amazing. The veg are just starting to turn acidic and needs a little more time prehaps a week or so.So I highly recommend anyone interested in fermenting fresh veg for your microbiome to invest in a vessel like this. The instructions are excellentHarmfull bacteria is locked out due to the airlock ( water is added to the lid which stops air getting inside and also allows gasses to be released. ) This was a relief to me and one of the main reasons I purchased it.It arrived with 2 ceramic weights. You can ferment with or without water and always use none-iodised salt.My recipe is made to a vegetable : pink Himalayan salt ratio of 1:2.5( Weigh veg on electric scale after chopping and removing cores then divide weight by 2.5 to find the salt weight, mix well and wait.More durable than plastic containers, sturdy and easy to use Lid locks out harmful bacteria and allows gasses to escape so no tight lids ready to blow off this gives ne extra piece of mind because no erruptions.

Perfect for Homemade Ferments!
I recently purchased the Fermentation Crock Jar 2 Liter and it has quickly become an essential tool in my kitchen for making kimchi, sauerkraut, and pickles. The stoneware design is not only aesthetically pleasing but also ensures that the fermentation process is optimal. The jar is well-constructed, with a thick, durable material that keeps the temperature stable and promotes even fermentation. The 2-liter size is perfect for small batches, making it ideal for home use. The lid fits securely, and the built-in water seal creates an airtight environment that helps keep out contaminants while allowing gases to escape. This has led to consistently great results every time I use it. It’s also very easy to clean, which is a huge bonus when dealing with fermenting foods.Overall, I’m very impressed with the quality and functionality of this fermentation crock. It’s a great value for the price, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking to start fermenting their own foods at home. The results have been fantastic, and it’s become a staple in my kitchen for all things fermented!

brilliant
on my 3rd batch of sauerkraut - very easy to use, had no problems whatsover, very durable product,. if you love sauerkraut as much as me maybe consider the larger pot - I will probalby purchase another. Pot holds about 3 medium, size cabbages.

Water moat is too small.
This has everything going for it, good wooden masher, ceramic stones to weigh the product down and it’s a good size for a couple. The reason I deducted one star was because the moat is too small. I found myself topping it up every day in summer, and the interior lip should be much higher in my opinion to avoid the water spilling back into your produce.

It works, it's perfect
I just made my first batch of white cabbage with carrots saurkraut with unrefined sea salt. After just two weeks it turned out absolutely phenomenal. I'll now try it with red cabbage. It's a little awkward to take out while transferring it into jars when it's ready but it's totally worth it. The slimness is part of the functional design. It's slick and discreet. If you want to transform your gut health and your a novice like me with vegetables fermentation, don't hesitate to buy this product. It's so perfect.

Will stand the test of time, excellent quality.
Bought myself this for Christmas- have been using it since. It makes a good amount of sauerkraut in one go and the pounder is really useful too. The size is perfect for our family of five, it looks great in my kitchen, is great value for money and is really well made. It is a solid heavy piece which should stand the test of time. The weights are ceramic and are perfect for keeping the ferment below the brine and keeps everything sealed nicely. Would 100% recommend.

Fermentation made easy.
This fermentation crock is brilliant, it makes, making Sauerkraut, virtually idiot proof. As long as you make sure the cabbage is fully submerged in the brine, the weights are in place & ensuring the water vapour lock level is nice & high, topping up when needed, the hardest part is not to be tempted to try the Sauerkraut too early. A word of advice though, use some food safe mineral oil on the pounder before first use because the pounding surface is end grain & it absorbs the brine solution & takes ages to air dry out, which could lead to it splitting at some point in the future. I've shredded 3 head of cabbage so far & left for for two weeks, it's turned out salty & tangy & wonderfully crunchy, it's way better than any shop bought Sauerkraut.

Heavy deposits of black mould formed on unglazed weights. See photo.
Heavy deposits of black mould have formed on the flat unglazed edges of all four weights of the two crock pots purchased. I suspect the reason for this is that the weights are generally glazed except for the flat centre edges. They, unlike the rest of the weight are left completely unglazed and rough in texture. I'm unable to remove this black mould completely as it seems to have penetrated inside the weights and I now feel they are now unsafe and unhealthy for food preparation use. The crock pots themselves are good, I have now concerns with them. Photo attached. I am unable to find the sellers details to contact them.

Perfect Batch Size!
I’m extremely pleased with this crock! We normally make sauerkraut and pickles in 15- or 20-gallon crocks, but, as we’re getting older, that’s getting to be a bit much. The gallon size is perfect to just sit on the kitchen counter, which also reduces fermentation time. And, when we pull a batch out to stick in the fridge and start a fresh batch, the timing works out really well.I will say, there are rough spots on the inside of the crock where the handles are, so you have to be mindful when you sanitize it. Aside from that, it’s great!
