Does what a breadbin should do. Solidly made. Good quality. Roomy enough.The counterbalanced door is a little too easily opened by anything inside touching it.I fixed this by gluing a felt pad to the top inner surface to create a little friction and stiffness. Works fine now!

Well made and attractive to look at. Very functional and easy to keep clean. I feel the bread bin could have been a little deeper. Recommended.

Don't use it for bread but my unopened biscuits are stored inside and the top houses some jars of nuts etc. Love the look. The wood is still as new. Had it for a number of years. The hinges are great. I open and close it several times a day.

Unfortunately the first bread bin we received had a broken hinge (a wooden rod at the bottom) so we had to send it back and requested another. That also arrived broken, so we had to send it back and then got a refund. We wondered whether it is too fragile to be posted in the packaging or if it is not made robustly enough? Disappoined - as it actually looks very nice.

I bought this particular bread bin as we have a tea caddy in the same range and we are happy with the look. We prefer to have a bread bin with a flat top - which this does - and were looking forward to its arrival.Delivery as usual was very good.The outside of the bin looks good. There were a couple of blemishes on the one delivered to us which was slightly disappointing but we would have lived with them.The inside was another maatter. Where the sides met the floor the staples/pins used to fix the thing together had pushed the wood up making the inside floor at the edge very rough.At the back where it was fixed to the side the staple was actually visible being half in/half out of the side wall.This level of finish is unacceptable.

Good in that it has a flat top unhindered by the door mechanism, which is why I bought it. However, when first received I was in two minds to send it back. It's reasonably well made, but was a little disappointed that the internal dimensions were a little small. Anything more than a large loaf and the sloping front, which relies on gravity to stay shut, drops open - with an alarming clunk from the kitchen if it happens in the middle of the night. Overall it's growing on us.

T&G Heritage Hand Carved Drop Front Bread Bin in Natural Hevea Wood  I am very pleased with the Bread Bin which fits in well with our kitchen and does not take up too much space on the work top. it looks smart and is well made. The drop front always stays in place which was a concern when I first saw it. The inside is quite spaceous and easily holds a large loaf as well as items like rolls. I do recommend this product.

Looks good, well made, I read the reviews before purchasing and although it has not happened to me yet I can see why a number of people felt that the door often fell down. should it occur I will simply fit a small magnet to the door and the problem will go away.
