StarTech.com SLSATAADAP Slimline SATA to SATA Adapter with Power, F/M

I bought this to interface slim blue ray drive. The finishing quality is pretty good although it does not seem to be stable when connected. There are no clips or anything such to hold the adapter firmly in place. But if this is used on desktop like my case then I dont think that will be an issue. In all, good quality product to solve your slimSATA-SATA interface problems.

The material seems pretty solid and does what it does perfectly.Fit nicely on my DVD slim inside my Sugo 06. You can purchase one with cables attached but be care of the lenght of cable, however this one is great.---L'ensemble à l'air solide et il n'y a pas de jeu dans les connections. Parfait donc pour mon DVD Slim à l'intérieur de mon Sugo 06. Il est vendu un autre connecteur qui propose aussi le cablage (Power+SATA) mais attention à la longueur du cable SATA. Donc celui-ci est moins prise de tête :)Salut!

I 'upgraded' (depends on what you value most!) my late 2009 21.5 iMac to remove its slimline DVD and replace it with an SSD. Now the DVD just sits on my desk connected to the computer using this and the SATA - USB connector that came with the SSD! For some reason it took a couple of plug in/out/restarts to work, but now it works every time on both my iMac and my girlfriend's Lenovo S205 netbook.

Perfect easy way to connect slimline laptop optical drive to PC

If you want to install it in computer and forget then it does its job. But it's cheap plastic so moving it in and out couple of times will brake it.

used this so i could install alaptop DVD drive into a mini PC / powercool Q5 as slim/laptop Disk drives sata + power connectors are smaller .. worked a treat . 5 Stars....

after plugging started to smell of burning plastic and did not work
