So far, so really good.
The parcel arrived from Germany on the first day of the delivery period and within a few minutes of the start of the time window from DPD. Good condition and all parts present (including two extra small screws which I hope are spares for fitting the splitting wedge). I've never used a table saw before so I spent some time with the manual and checking the alignment of the fences and blade. All good. I made some test cuts on basswood, pine (cross and rip) and 15mm oak. Much easier than I expected and the cuts were clean and accurate. I may need to turn up the power on my vacuum cleaner to suck up more of the dust but there was almost none on the top surface and the connection actually fitted! I still have to try using the mitre guide but so far I am impressed.I plan to use it for small projects like making boxes etc. and cutting stock to size for my Proxxon mini lathe.

I obtained mine august 2015 so, seeing some other reviews, I now wonder.
Likes. Ease of use and accuracy.Dislikes. 1. Though necessary, I suppose, I can’t feel too happy about multi language manuals. I can, though, scan it, edit and produce my personal, easier to handle one.2. Difficulty in getting spares - I think it prudent to obtain a spare belt but though I’ve found out Proxxon do stock them, they’re not listed anywhere that I can find.

I'M MADE UP WITH IT.
I looked long and hard at the small table saws on offer before choosing this one. It cost a bit more than I had planned to spend but I reckon it was worth the extra. The unimat 3 lathe table saw attachment I used for many years had served me well, but it was frustrating to set it up for a couple of cuts, and then to have to dismantle it before using the lathe again. The lathe headstock also got in the way when cutting sheet of more than about 6mm thickness , and the blade could not be angled. The Proxxon FET is a well made and accurate saw which exceeds my expectations. Adjustments are easy and precise and the cut is clean and free from splinters.A couple of minor snags made it four rather than five star for me. The fine adjustment was very stiff and had to be dismantled, cleaned and oiled before I could get it to work, but it's OK now. I could not cut a shallow slit in a sheet as the blade guard moved down with the blade and prevented the sheet from getting to the blade. Fixed this by loosening the retaining screws and lifting the guard support up a few millimeters from fully home.. One small design fault is in the extract connection. Although it is 35 mm diameter to fit a standard vacuum hose, the actual aperture inside is only about 8 by 22 mm, which needlessly limits the extract. Shouldn't be too difficult to mod. however.Despite these little snags I'm made up with the saw - I should have bought one years ago. Baz

High recommended!
After reading many reviews I decided to spend a bit more and went for this one - I'm so glad I did! A very nice machine, seems to be well made, easy to set up and adjust the blade position etc. I have used it several times now cutting 0.5 up to 10mm plywood, light-ply and various softwoods all cut nicely with straight clean edges.Haven't yet used on harder/thicker woods as I mainly use it for model making. The bandsaw is going on sale!Would highly recommend this for anyone wanting a smaller table top saw.

Precise, reliable and portable.
Excellent tool for fine woodworking and model making. It's precise and light and portable, important when you have joint problems.

Build quality not what it used to be
I bought this as they had good reviews and historically they've been well built and precise tools. However the one I received was bad. The main issue was that the blade was not square to the table and as such you couldn't cut anything square. The half degree it was out is enough to pull the rear of the work square on to the blade and away from the fence.Additionally the fine adjustment knob has a nut in it which is about 0.5mm too narrow which means it has play in it, as does the measure across the front. Finally, when clamping the fence down it moves slightly so accurate placement for cutting is not possible. You can get everything lined up and clamping the fence moves everything!I spoke to Proxxon directly and they confirmed my findings, they instructed me to return the item which I tried to do. However Sotel refused to pay for the return postage and insisted that I had to cover this even though they agreed the item was faulty and were required to pay the postage by law. In the end I paid a significant amount to return it (its heavy!) and had to chase Amazon for 2 weeks to get a postage refund.I visited a local store in the end who stock these and the display model was very good, there was no play and everything was square. Turns out however that this display model was manufactured several years ago and had been on display ever since. I asked them to open a box from stock and it was just as bad as the one I got from Amazon. It looks like production was shifted to another factory (I'm told from Japan to Taiwan but cannot confirm this) and units made at the new factory I have tested ALL have this defect.Proxxon have told me that this is not a common fault but I've tested two and they both have issues, if I had faith in this i'd have bought another one but I feared the same would happen again, so didn't.Such a shame as its a great size table saw with less danger when working on small parts compared to the alternatives! But its just not capable of delivering a precise cut.If you're just doing crosscuts on small parts and can work around the faults then this table can be used, but or cutting any small sheet material or ripping its just not going to be accurate enough. In the end I bought a Craft band saw from Axminster for £300 and i'm extremely happy with it.
