Lousy design, but works well
I like the diffuser, but there are so many annoying aspects to the product design, but few of my observations are mentioned. So:1. I can't believe how much time I spend trying to take the outer and inner plastic caps off. Both tops are round and compression fitted - they don't screw on. This is the worst aspect of its design. My hands are strong and fit, so people with weak or arthritic hands may be frustrated with this aspect.2. The directions are poor - and they are on the package and hard to read and comprehend.3. There is no on/off switch. There are two buttons that must be depressed sequentially, in accordance to the box directions.4. There is ALWAYS a red LED on. It never goes off, unless you unplug the machine, which I often do. How long will it last if I keep unplugging it?5. I called the number on the box (ahem: user manual) to reach customer support. Guess what?! It's not the right number. This number is for Sun Chemical Corporation! How crazy is that?6. When it is on, it works great, and I like it. But it's the only thing I like about it.I give it one star for product design, five for operation. I haven't decided if I want to keep it.

Great little diffuser!
This is a great little diffuser! It operates like all the ultrasonic diffusers and puts out enough mist to fill a small room with scent. I have had it running almost continuously for the last two days and it has had no problems. One reviewer stated that there was a design flaw because the unit will stop running because of a low water level when it actually still has water in it. This is true, but I like this feature because it allows me to use citrus oils in it because they won't touch the vibration plate (oil floats on water). The directions are clear on how the buttons operate, so I'm not sure why some people can't figure it out. I set the unit on the 2min on/2min off setting and it was still running when I woke up. I have the glossy black unit and it was a little difficult opening the unit the first couple times, but it is not a problem anymore. The lights do not bother me, but the two small leds on the outside of the unit are a little bright. Overall I am happy with this purchase, it works and it was very affordable.

Wish it worked like I thought it would
When it's working, it works nicely and gives off a good area of diffusion. Unfortunately if a bit of water gets in the hole, it covers it and traps the steam inside of the product. Mine was constantly stopping because of this reason or the water gets low enough (just enough to not cover the tiny silver "pin" inside) and it shuts off. Which is frequent. I'm sad I spent this much on it and it doesn't work very well. I would have paid $10 and been happy enough.I had called the company that manufactures it and they said "this is new to us too so we are still trying to figure it out". Hmmm...

Just Stopped Working
I don't know what happened to this diffuser but it worked just fine the one time I used it. When I refilled it the same way I did the first time, the little red light was faded, blinks, but just won't turn on. I liked this color and size so much. In addition, it's very hard to open the top and open the inside top to refill it. The top is suppose to open when you turn it counter-clockwise slightly but it fits so snugly that it takes time to get the top to loosen enough to open. The inside top opens from the outside rim and not in the middle.I sent feedback to the seller but have not heard anything back. I even went to Mammoth's website but there were no troubleshooting instructions, actually no instructions at all, except what's on the box. I'm so disappointed. I bought another one but had to get it in a dark fake wood-like color instead.

A good portion of water is left in still in the ...
This is okay for the money. A good portion of water is left in still in the basin when the indicator states that water levels are low. Compared to my other diffusers that are truly empty when they kick off. Overall it does a good job and suits the purpose for which it was purchased.

I've crazy glued them because I really like the way my room smells when I get home
It works well most of the time. It's cracked twice in the past two weeks. I've crazy glued them because I really like the way my room smells when I get home, but I think I would've had better results spending a few extra dollars buying the one made of wood rather than plastic.

great!!
First of all, let me say that I love this diffuser. The look is very nice and it has a low "white nose" hum when it is on. I gave it four stars because it is very temperamental and all parts have to be exactly in place for it to work properly. Even though I watched the video,I still had an issue with it and I thought it was broken. The only other issue is that it has these lights that don't go off. Since it is black, I just put a few pieces of electrical tape over them. It's perfect now!

Love this difuser
Small, quiet and does what it is supposed to do. That said, a little pre- planning is in order. I have small, arthritic hands and initially it was hard to remove the top which has to be slightly twisted and lifted. Therein was a huge problem for me...easily solved with a piece of the rubber non slip that is used under area rugs. (If you don't have that, the rubber jar openers work well too. I use the fingers of both hands on the edges of the top section of the machine and simply lift. The inside white cover is easily lifted. The machine on the 3 minuite on/off vapor delay gives about 8 hours of diffusion. I absolutely love this machine. It is just the right size for bedside evening aromatherapy.
