Easy install, good quality picture
This was a second Dash Cam for my wife's car. Easy install, and a glorious picture. My own car has an A118C wedge camera, which has served me well for more than a few months. The key difference with that and this one is the ability to not only record at a higher resolution (which I don't do, as the standard 1080p is fine for me), but to record at 60fps (at 1080), which means that you can get a lot more detail in the still frames, especially when speeding cars are involved. My only real negative (and the reason for 4 rather than 5 stars) is the memory card format warning ... even after I had turned it off, it still wants to format the memory card, and won't start the camera without doing so. I haven't done so yet (so the message is repeating), but can't as the police require some of the footage I have stored.I will update once the card has been formatted, to confirm if this is still an issue.

Good at first, but fell apart...!!!
I would love to know what the other reviewers think of this cam 3/4 months down the line of purchasing it. It may seem shiny and impressive at first, but the luster soon fades..!! I previously had the A118 cam which was fine at first, but over a short period of time would flicker and turns itself off. Disappointed with it, and costing more than it was worth in shipping to get it repaired, I went with the A119 hoping it would be an upgrade and the bugs would be ironed out. Sadly this was not the case and it has the same problems as my previous model. I cannot recommend this product one little bit. If you like the idea of having to buy a new dash-cam every 6 months, then this is the cam for you. If not, I'd look else where.

The unit is very small and therefore almost invisible from the outside of the car
Picture quality very good. Replaying on the screen is not good but you cannot have a large screen on something the size of a matchbox. I use VLC Media Player to view it on my computer

Nice bit of kit
Bang on. Would install one in my wife's car if she wanted a dash cam. Great value.

Easy and practical
A very impressive little camera that is easy to set up and gives great pictures. Small enough to hide behind the mirror.

Spy Tec A119
Disclaimer I paid full price for this item and have not been asked to give a positive review by Spy Tec. However.I purchased this via Amazon.it.It is now hardwired in to the ignition system. The long USB cable is more than long enough to reach the fuse box for most cars. You will need a USB power adapter which also gives you extra length.I believe this to be one made for the American market as the power USB connector is to slim for the car cigarette lighter so had to be altered with some electricians tape to stop it jumping out.Initially I had problems with setting it up on my computer. The help desk are very good and several emails were exchanged before I realised thatyou can only set it up in the car so it's a good idea to leave the small USB cable and connector in the car. This helps in reformatting and tinkering with the settings. If something goes wrong it beeps to tell you to fix it.Once a position has been decided the sticky pad does the job nicely and the unit can be removed and replaced easily and quickly leaving the camera shoe in position. The back screen makes it easy to check that the camera is in the right position. The camera lens can be adjusted as many times I accidentally move it out of position when removing or replacing it.I have a 32 gb card which gives me about 8 or 9 hours on a looped recording on high quality. The picture quality is quite good for the size of the camera. At night there is no chance of getting a registration plate if the cars coming towards you. But that would be difficult with any camera. The image at night is very good with the car headlights. It looses a bit in street lighting. The SD card plays well on my computer and you have the option for different lengths of recording files.A few minutes after switching off there is a disconcerting click from the unit which I hope is the capacitor shutting down. All in all it is a nicely thought out bit of kit and quite discrete if placed properly.I haven't had it long so if it goes wrong I will update this review but it does what it says on the tin so I'm happy to give it 5 stars.Update about two months in the unit stoped working properly. The end file would corrupt requiring a reset. Emails with spytec New York were promptly answered and advice given as how to rectify the problem. The unit was ultimately sent back and replaced by spytec. I was very impressed by the after sales service provided by spytec and would have no problem shopping with them again.
