smooth delivery, good quality monitor, could have been better
The seller has a very good service. The product was delivered on the same day right after I placed my order. The seller kept me informed of the delivery throughout.For the product, the screen is big and the resolution is good. I like the semi-transparent blue finish that goes well with the white plastic around the monitor. The monitor works great once I connect it to my macbook pro using HDMI cable (this is my own cable and the monitor does not come with a HDMI cable, although it comes with a conventional D-sub cable). There is no need for my to install the monitor drive on my macbook at all and once it is connected to my macbook, the monitor works perfectly; the screen resolution (1920x1080) is perfect. It is great to use the monitor for watching movies as well as word processing as the resolutions are good for both images and texts. This monitor also works as mirror display with macbook pro.Please note that this white version does not have any audio output, but that is fine with me as I have external speakers. It is unfortunate that some customers receive HDMI cables while others not. The other downside is that the monitor cannot be tilted up and down, so that it is a bit tiring for the neck if you need to work with the monitor for a prolonged period of time.

What blue surround?
Great item, works really well. I had been concerned that the highly publicised decorative blue surround might be distracting but it's almost invisible and can easily be forgotten once you've found it.The only downside is the fiddly menu control button on the back which takes a lot of getting used to but is needed for making all the basic adjustments.

perform well and have excellent colour rendering
I get through quite a number of monitors- I have over a dozen scattered about at work in my laboratories. I've always bought Samsung, they are stylish, perform well and have excellent colour rendering. This one is no exception. Top quality at a competitive price.

Came with deficit. Noticeable edge bleed after a few days.
After digging around the internet for what felt like weeks searching for a monitor that offered not only a fast response time but a sharp picture that had accurate colours I came across this Samsung 24inch monitor. Everything looked fine upon opening its packaging, the monitor is nicely designed and generally I have no problem with the actual design of the monitor, it's more of the build quality.I'm sure most customers received their product free of any deficts, I may have been unfortunate as I had what seemed to be a sticky piece of plastic stuck inside the frame of the monitor, hanging out from the gap between the blue plastic outer frame and the inner black frame, as the monitor itself seemed of good quality although cheap, i decided to brush this off, it wasn't that noticeable and I was enjoying the picture quality of the monitor too much to let it eat away at me.A couple of days went by and that's when I started noticing problems arise from the screen itself, it suffers quite noticeable edge bleed along the right and left edges, as well as on all 4 corners, most websites sport a white background and along the edges i noticed a blue tint and once I noticed it i couldnt unsee it, also during dark scenes of films or games the four corners had so much bleed that It become an annoyance, for some this probably isn't a problem, but for me It's going to constantly bug me and for a brand new monitor you dont expect things like this.Maybe I just had some bad luck? or I'm noticing edge bleed that could be a common problem on this product? Most of the reviews are positive for this product, so I was probably just unlucky. Either way I'll be returning it for a different monitor entirely. Some more research and perhaps a bigger budget may be needed.

Not a good purchase
I have purchased a number of other monitors by Samsung in this class range, and they are great. However this one the color is off like something is wrong with it and it cannot be adjusted to normalize colors. I'd suggest any of the other Samsung models. I do like the base on this model however.

Screen went faulty after 34 months
The screen was great until it went wrong. Line of pixels dropped out, outside the warranty period. The thing to remember is you are buying a product that is only designed to last the warranty period. So the price for 24 months use is the reality.

Great value & lovely colours
I am very happy with this Samsung monitor. I bought it to use with my laptop at home for photo editing. For the money it is superb. Lovely crisp full HD screen with nice colours, and it looks good too. Easy to assemble and the rear menu control button system is simple and effective. If you don't want to spend hundreds of pounds on a monitor, this one is a huge improvement over a standard laptop screen or desktop monitor. Highly recommended.
