Rubbish cover and ground sheet. Complicated assembly. Not value for money.
3/10. A bit disappointed as 1. expected it to be a bit bigger, ie ‘giant’ 2. ‘Cover’ is a useless rip off 3. Ground sheet could be bigger 4. Takes too long/ complicated to assemble 5. When I look @ assembled product I don’t feel it’s value for money, ie should’ve been cheaper for what it is. Plus points. 1. Came in 1 easy to move box 2. All parts intact/ nothing missing 3. No need to drill screws in. Wood soft enough to screw drive screws in. 4. End result/ wood part looks and feels intact if handled with care. Arrived on time in one slim box. Managed to assemble with my 11 year old. Took us just over 3 hours. Had to keep figuring out which way around the slots aligned/ planks faced. In the end we found the instructions useless and just used common sense. Most of time my 11 year old would pointed out errors by looking at the photo of end of end product and so we ended up having to disassemble and reassembling/ realigning the planks. Once we had got the frame assembled it was straight forward to just screw in screws with screw driver to secure. Then the ground mat disappointment as it is very small, ie made to fit exactly, so ended up with 2 ends of the pit short of mat. Ground mat should be bigger ? Spent unnecessary time trying to keep tugging/ jostling it into place to secure to try and fit. Biggest disappointment was the ‘cover’. Again too small & useless! Thick material but Doesn’t cover entire pit at all, can’t understand why it’s even there? Have not yet filled with sand as I’ve had to pay again for another proper cover and bigger ground sheet from another company, which are arriving soon. End sandpit is okay, with seats to sit on and looks smart, but I think it’s too pricy, a nightmare to assemble and the cover and ground sheet a joke. Also not as ‘giant’ as I thought. Doesn’t look big enough to be called ‘giant’.

Good sandpit, bad cover
Kids love the sandpit. Good quality wood sides and easy to put together. Predrilled holes which mostly were fine - one or two pieces didn't line up with others and I had to improvise which was a shame. The sandpit base is a sheet that when fitting, needs another person to help stretch it out and hold in place whilst you screw provided wood to hold the base in place. It's a bit fiddly. The main disappointment with the sandpit is the tarpaulin cover. It's awful. It's barely big enough, has a drawstring but doesn't really work, and because it doesn't fit properly it will blow away in the slightest wind. I have to put objects on it to hold it down and stretch it out which defeats the whole purpose. But because the sandpit is octagonal, it's not easy to find one that will do the job more effectively. TL,DR - good sandpit, easy to put together, fiddly base needs another helper, cover is really bad

Hours of fun
Easy to assemble and strong enough for Daddy to sit on the edge and join in the fun. Although having an electric screwdriver did make assembly a little bit easier. This has been in the garden now for over 12 months and has been moved a couple of times and it's as good as new. My only wish would be the option to buy a hard cover to keep the elements out as the plastic cover provided is starting to wear and tear. It's a good size sandpit which allows two, possibly three children to play happily together. Obviously the children love it; which child doesn't want a sandpit in their back garden?

Like hoping for a steak dinner and getting a cold McDonalds burger instead.
UPDATE April 2016: This Sand Pit is dead. It can't withstand the weather, the lid (brought separately) doesn't keep water out. Whether filled or unfilled, the Sand Pit itself is a nightmare to move. Don't bother. 2014: Bought for 4yo's birthday. He LOVES it. But he's not the most discerning of toddlers and I'm less easily impressed. The facts are: It's a sandpit, it fits together well enough, it's easy to construct and the instructions are clear. All the necessary parts were included (you'll need a phillips screwdriver), it was packaged well and there was no stress in building this; two sets of hands managed it in 15 minutes. When constructed, it's a reasonable size and requires about 150-180kg of sand to adequately fill it. Still, however functional it is, for the price this is not an impressive product. I would say that this is a £40 max purchase. Why? - The wood is of a very basic quality. Not damaged or sub-standard, just utterly basic. It has rough edges, is not precisely cut and has many knots, meaning a couple of the screws don't catch. - The horizontal rows have slats, slotting together well enough but with no secure fix. The ledge is the only part of the item that is firmly attached (you screw it into the top slats). This may be practically helpful in terms of taking the pit apart quickly and storing it easily but if your children are rough or overly curious I imagine it won't take much force to pull apart. The problem is exacerbated because there is no solid base, just a thin porous fabric to allow water to drain. Again, this is not necessarily a problem in itself, but it also means that once the sand is in you won't be re-locating the pit easily. I anticipate this fabric getting pretty grim underneath and needing replacing. The biggest disappointment (although not a surprise based on other reviews) is that it comes with a pretty basic tarpaulin cover which is ill fitting and does not adequately protect from the rain. A lid can be purchased separately http://www.amazon.co.uk/Sand-Box-Lid-wooden-hexagonal/dp/B0013HCGAG/ref=pd_bxgy_k_h_b_cs_img_y but knowing what I know now about the quality of this sandpit's wood, and given the 1* reviews, £65 seems a little disingenuous (not least because it's the same price as the pit itself). I'm not saying it's terrible - it does what it's meant to do, but don't set your expectations too high. I expected a little more in terms of quality considering the price tag. As my subject suggests, I can't argue that it's not a functional product, it just isn't a very impressive or satisfying one.

Good size
This is an excellent sand pit. It is big, I bought it for an 8 yr old and she has plenty of room. Needs a lot of sand so buy at least 10 bags, more would be better! We have moved house taken it apart and rebuilt it and still as sturdy and looking good as it was new. Only down side, cover isn’t well designed as it has a draw string which is really fiddly and you need bricks to secure it really, elastic would have been better. Also the lining wasn’t big enough so had to patch in a bit of a shower curtain to cover a corner. Hopefully they have rectified these niggles now.

Much better than expected
Liked the product, although the reviews were good, they were quite divided. No problem in assembling. It looks lovely. Everything works. Previous buyers were saying the bottom cover is too short and it slips out from under the sandbox. Well, it is large enough. We have stapled ours to teh walls of the sand box to keep all in place. The finishing of the wood is good and it looks smart. Outside has not rained yet so we do not know how the wood behaves. Waiting for the sand to be delivered and get into action. I was worried the corners might be too sharp, but they are not. I would recommend this product.

Super size - but screws provided too small.
Wanted a large sand pit and this was ideal! It was easy to construct, but the screws for the base sheet were too short! Had to get new screws to complete the build, but otherwise all good. Unlike other builds which I have done with a screwdriver this really needs a drill. The cover is really handy - once you get the hang off it! Took 10x 15kg bags to fill.

Great large sandpit!
Wonderful large sandpit, easily fit 4 children inside along with play items. Well made and arrived on time. My only problem with the sandpit is that the black ground cover could have been slightly larger in diameter to make fitting it that bit easier. Love that it has 4 seats as well for the children to sit on. Please excuse the boxes in the picture, they’re from the sand delivery. With 10x 10kg bags of sand the bottom of the sandpit is covered and there is enough sand to play with. If you want it deep then get 15 to 20 bags. I’m going to get a few more 10kg bags myself. Very happy with this sandpit.

Bello
I teli non sono molto robusti. Il montaggio è semplice ed è funzionale. Bello esteticamente. Rapporto qualità prezzo secondo me buono. Nel complesso sono soddisfatto dell’Acquisto.

Grand bac a sable
