August EAR650 Replacement Ear Pads for EP650 Bluetooth Headphones

Good, but hard to fit.

Arrived in 3 days. Was emailed updates from supplier over and above what Amazon had sent. I have not received this level of correspondence from any other retailer.As for the cushions themselves, they have rejuvenated the headphones. The EP650s are still among the best headphones I've ever heard, the only downside is that after 2 years (of admittedly tough use in the rain/shoving into suitcases/leaving in direct sunlight for months at a stretch) the ear pads began to flake off.Easiest way to fit them is to: pull the original pads off from the thin silver rim border.Secondly the plastic of the ear pad area just be prised off. Easiest way is to put a blade just in front of the thin silver border about 4-5mm deep (so as not to cut the wires inside) and do this all around. Be careful not to separate the now removed plastic from the headphones as the wires between the two are very delicate.Wrap the rim of the new pads over this plastic and pleck the newly covered plastic back onto the headphones. Some force may be needed after locating the tag of the removed plastic into the receptacle of the headphone and a firm click will be heard. Again, be careful of severing the wires between the removable plastic portion and the headphones. They are very thin gauge wires and will withstand very little tension.The pads are excellent value for money and should keep the headphones going for another 2 years

Nice quality, but only a good fit if you have small ears.Which I do.... But they are still somewhat snug.However, they are premium quality in look and feel.Fast delivery. Good price.Pretty good, really.

Only when you receive new, firm, thick pads do you realise how knackered your old ones were! Mine had gotten torn from wear and tear and facial hair. The new ones are just lovely, but they are a pain to fit correctly. My advice:1) Don't remove your old ones straight away. Study how they fit, this will make fitting replacements vastly easier.2) Wrap the thin part all away around each ear cup, don't bother trying to get it all in the little gap straight away. Don't be afraid to stretch it fully around the ear cups. It won't tear easily, and doesn't stay stretched.3) Once it's all the way around, use a credit card to press the leatherette into the gap that secures it. 'Roll' the card along the gap rather than rubbing it for a neat fit.That's all. Top marks to August/Daffodil for making these available and not trying to force people to replace perfectly good working headphones - they even made them cheap when they could have charged more and people still would have been forced to buy. The EP650 are unexpectedly my favourite headphones I've ever owned, everyone is amazed by them, and these replacement pads have ensured I can continue to enjoy them for longer. Very happy.

This did not feel like it was built with the intention of allowing replacement pads. I got the backs off. I found it tricky to replace the new pads. Half way through replacing the first one I broke one of the wires and ruined the headphones. It was remarkably easy to do. The wires were too short and too delicate - I was trying hard to be gentle. I bought a new pair of phones - at about £45 they are not expensive and fantastic value for money. I still have the pads, so sometime down the line I will get another go. At the price of a new pair of phones I'm not sure it's worth the hassle of getting these replacements .

Amazing !! I’ve had my headphones for years and I love them !!! My puppy also loves them and chewed them up!!! Nearly bought another paid for 50 pound when I saw these. Really easy to do there’s a how to on the august website that I’ve attached but did it in 5 mins and good as new!!!

About 10mm smaller in height than originals. This makes them very uncomfortable after a while. Would not recommend purchase unless you own very small ears !!

After finding the ear pads on my well used 650 cordless Bluetooth earphones had started to merl away I was so upset as they are fantastic . So set out to find a replacement pair of earphones and as I was trawling I found these replacement pads. Bit fiddly to change over and you have to be so careful not to pull the thin wires off . (Search for video tutorial for help on how to change them )I’ve done it and is as good as new . There will prob be a time when I have to replace the whole lot ,but for now I’m over the moon with the results.
