Dmt Double Sided Diafold - Fine / Coarse

These sharpeners are great. 20 strokes on coarse, fine, extra fine and xx fine drawing through cork to remove the burr after each grade and my cheap kitchen knife, my swiss army knife and my workhorse morakniv all cut paper like in those internet video shorts. All of them can now cut 1mm thick slices out of a tomato without the slice losing the seeds. I have no doubt they can sharpen my axes and my chisels nicely too. Well worth the money.

This tool works very well with the coarse side rapidly removing enough metal to restore the proper shape. Then the fine side works well for a sharp edge. Seller delivered promptly. The handle is not as robust as an earlier diafold that I owned and eventually wore out after many years of work.

These are a bit tricky to use for really fine sharpening because of their size, and that you need one hand on the sharpener leaving only one hand for the blade. The diafold sharpeners are great to have in a kitbag when I am out travelling, for on the go sharpening of pocket knives, kitchen knives and so on. For the more major, and precision work I find the bigger sized stones easier to use.

Does exactly what you need it to do. Coarse on one side fine on the other. Easy to use foldaway design. All DMT products are top notch.

One of the best knife and general purpose sharpeners i have ever used. The results are great and so easy to use.

It's really a great kitchen necessary tool, which can make a knife like a Japanese ninja sword.

Made in USA. What a superb product. The stones cut quickly. I bought the fine, ultra fine to put a perfect edge on my knives. I cook a lot and I like to work with sharp knives. I start with a fine and work over to the ultra fine and when I'm done you could shave with my knives. The handles are sturdy and I don't think they're break easily. The stone itself is really well made. This was one of the best purchases I've made.
