Simply amazing printer
This is about as good as it gets without spending astronomical amounts. I bought this to print good quality family portraits, and it doesn't disappoint. Setup and connection to the computer is the easiest process of its type I've ever experienced, with a really clear touchscreen interface and instructions. It was up and running within a few minutes and I was printing directly from my devices within 20 minutes of unpacking the box. The printer has an automatic switch on over wireless and will enter standby after having completed its job queue. When you load paper, the printer asks for a definition of which type is in which tray and will select the most appropriate type for the job. Printing is fast on B/W text, and extremely detailed on photo mode. Used with good quality source material, the output is near photo lab quality.Copying is easy, Scanning requires either a physical link to a PC or a cloud location (like Onedrive) to be set up which is the only slightly longwinded part of the process. Otherwise, the only negatives I can find are the high prices of ink, of which only Canon genuine parks are currently available due to the code chip on each cartridge (rampant capitalism at work).Otherwise it's simply excellent - I had a Pixima iP4500 for many years prior to this purchaces and the TS8150 is an improvement in every way.

Good Quality Printing and Small Footprint
I had to replace my Canon MG7150, so after much research, chose the TS8150. It's smaller than the 7150, and I'm not sure about the flimsy build others have mentioned - it seems much the same as the other one. As I had an external CD drive, I used the CD provided to do the set up which all went quite smoothly, plus setting up my Samsung Galaxy S6 to print as well. The printing is quite fast and very good quality. I also printed a photo from my phone using a glossy sheet from the sample provided. It printed quickly (via the rear feeder) and again good quality. Duplex printing is a bit slower than my previous 7150 so I can only assume Canon decided it needs more time to dry.Printing is a bit noisier, and the tray has to stick out a couple of inches, albeit with a dust cover. The only irritating omission is that the print cannot be switched on remotely. It you want to do any printing, you must switch it on manually first. Still, we're always being encouraged to take more exercise.(Update: I've fixed this and now it will switch itself on when I send something to be printed. This is the path for the setting:Windows 10 Settings > Printers & scanners > (Select Canon TS8100 Series) > Manage > Printer properties > Maintenance > (Click the icon 'Maintenance & Preferences') > Auto Power > Auto Power On - Enable.)One further annoyance is that every time I've refilled the cassette with the same A4 paper, I had to 'register' the paper with the machine. I've contacted Canon to ask if there's any way of switching this off.(Update: Fixed this as well. Emailed Canon and they sent this:On the actual printer screen > Tap on the cogged wheel > Select Settings > Device Settings > Scroll down and look for Feed or Cassette Settings > Select Detect Paper Mismatch and it will then ask you to "Enable this functionality?" >Select NO.Now the registration screen has vanished.)Regarding the other reviewer who said there didn't seem to be any other supplier of ink cartridges other than Canon, the supplier I used for my previous printer, Cartridge People, do their own version. I haven't installed them yet as the machine is still new, but I'll update this review when I do use them.

Setup Was Easy And The Prints Look Good "Hopefully A Helpful Review"
I received the printer without any problems, unboxed it and took all the plastic off but when it comes to the red & white sticker that is on the scanner lid, well that is quite tricky to remove and you have to be careful not to scrap the gloss. Of course it did leave a slight sticky residue. If this happens to you, use a bit of virgin olive oil on your finger and rub it in with your finger and remove it with soft kitchen roll, it worked a treat.I installed the updated drivers from canons own website for the printer as there has been a new one since the printer was launched. Also there has been a firmware update as the printer itself told me once it connected to the router. It took me around 1hr 20 minutes to set the printer and was very straight forward. I just used the “routers WPS” function to find the printer. Also if you have to connect any other PCs/Laptops, just use their Printers & Devices setting and add printer. There is also a auto start function but you have to set it in the ECO Setting to on and when the printer is off it will auto start when any document is sent to it.As well as this, Canons own app called “Canon PRINT Inkjet/SELPHY for Android worked straight away for me and found the printer straight away, Great Job.For the price of the printer, some people say that’s it’s a bit flimsy but once it’s on your table it doesn’t move. I also have a Canon Pixma Pro 100 printer which is just for high quality photography prints so it will be interesting to compare the same photo from the 2 printers at a later date “Update when that happens”.Below you will see a few images to help you. Also there are two scanned images from the Canon Pixma TS8150 of the same image clearly marked. One is from a Professional printer the “Canon Pixma Pro 100” which is priced at over £300, now as you can see from the scans, the Pixma pro 100 has a higher resolution and the scan has pick this up in detail but I will leave it up to you to decide which you prefer. The TS8150 does a great job to print smaller images from 4x6 to A4.At the time of this review “26/1/2018”, companies are offering multipack cartridges with 4 or 5 cartridge sets but not 6 which the printer takes, just something to keep and out for when ordering.I must admit, I love the ease of use of the printer and I’m I went for the purchase. I can’t see any faults at this time.

Awful
Just the most awful flimsy and poorly made piece of equipment ever. Set up didn’t work, despite numerous attempts and calls to customer service (who by the way aren’t open on Sunday’s). Ended up sending back and deciding that actually my 10 year old £30 print/scanner was a far better product.
