Found an impossible leak in my pond. It doesn’t fade so I dis have to empty the pond, but so much easier than a replacement liner. It was quite bright in day light, so finding the leak via small bubbles was easy

Only use a small amount
You only need a small amount of powder to a 5Ltr bucked of water as it does go along way. It really does search out leaksBe careful using it as it can spread everywhere, although it does wash off ceramic quite well, e.g from a toilet basin . I would be very careful near carpet of any surface difficult to clean. Our water leak was under ground but it did get to the surface eventually after some time.

excellent fluorescent dye for demonstrations
I use this dye for demonstrations of fluorescence in class. The picture shows about 20 micrograms (~grain of rice) dissolved in 250 ml of water, placed on top of a UV box in a beaker with qartz bottom. The dye appears to be rhodamine, by the orange fluorescence in UV and by the appearance of the dry powder (greenish specs). Be careful opening the sachet, it's packed very densely, making it very easy to spill and to stain everything around you. Will buy more from them if they come up with more colours (blue yellow). Their green dye is most likely fluorescein.

Much better than another company's leak flow detetion dye I used
Much better than another company's leak flow detetion dye I used! It made the diagnosis of my plumbing leak easy to establish. A piece of white toilet paper helped so the dye leak could be seen. I highly recommend this.

Does what it says!
Tiny quantity needed for a bucket load of bright green water. One packet will last me a lifetime!

Only need a tiny amount
Used a teaspoonful to find where a storm drain was coming out, so 1tsp in several hundred litres of running water. Also leaves a strong trace on hands, clothes and everything you have touched within an hour of using it.

Worked for me
I had a leak in the cooling system that was intermittent and slight but worrying as I tow a lot. Dealer unable to trace but this with the aid of a uv torch found the leak . I had to wait for dusk before the dye became really visible.DONT use too much or you wil be flushing the system for ages. You can get the same colour as your coolant.Supplied with a pair of gloves and a measuring spoon.
