Amazing Book
I Have just recently started my leatherwork journey and wanted to have a book for my research aswell as online, I found that this was recommended by many so thought to give it a chance. Every single thing in this book is useful for beginner to experieced leatherwork. It goes from telling you the basics and terminology you should know when working with leather all the way to multiple ways to stitch and more. It has a lot of things which I keep opening up to when working just to use as a guide and I highly recommend for anybody looking to work with leather

Not a bad book but delivery a problem
The book is very much a simplistic, but useful introduction to the techniques of leather work. However, it is thin on textual explanations and very much skims the surface of the craft. It also in quite a large format, but despite the difficulty of handling it, it does allow for large explanatory diagrams and pictures. I do have a complaint about the delivery though, the courier folded the envelope and consequently the book when stuffing it through the letterbox when both my wife and me were at home and very close to the doorway, so I don't believe that the courier knocked or rang the bell. Normally I would return such a package but i am hoping that the book will flatten with use, but very disappointing on behalf of the courier.

Great starter book
This book covers lots of basics in leather crafting and is very useful to tell you the tools and the way to use them. Tells you about different leathers. However my only criticism is that there are no projects in there to get you started, however you can find lots on the internet. If you are just starting to get interested I would say this is the book for technique and tools.

Poor layout
I bought the kindle edition based upon the high ratings. But to be honest it’s a poorly laid out book with limited information behind the high level descriptions. The sewing section doesn’t even include the saddle stitch! Misses out a good introduction section, or any form of structure to the content, not recommended for beginners or anyone expecting a detailed guide to working with leather.

Useful reference book for beginners
The book is thinner than I expected - more like a very good quality magazine than a book. However, it has some useful content for beginners like me as it shows with clear pictures and explanations of many of the techniques needed to make leather items. It is not a project book, it’s more of a handy reference book that you can quickly and easily refer to during your learning process.

Not a complete course by no means, but a great to get you started. Well worth the money.
This is not a complete leather working guide, but it touches on a lot of topics. It talks about stitching, lacing, embossing, coloring, finishing edges, cutting plus a few other topics. Enough information to get beginners started and headed in the right direction, a great book for the price I'm happy I bought it.
