Travelpro Crew 10 22 Inch Expandable Rollaboard Suiter Carry-On Luggage

I bought two TravelPro pieces of luggage thinking that they were high quality and would last a long time. Well, a year ago one of the wheels broke on one piece. I contacted TravelPro about their "lifetime" warranty, only to be sold that the warranty does not cover "wear and breakage." That's right, if a piece wears or breaks, it is not covered. I asked whether something that wore too fast because it was made of inferior materials would be covered--nope! I asked how anything would ever be covered and could not get a a straight answer. Now, the SAME exact wheel on the other larger piece broke. This clearly indicates to me that the wheel is defective. But, since TravelPro effectively does not have a meaningful warranty, I am just stuck with luggage with broken wheels. By contrast, the eBags piece I have is still going strong!

Received this from the airline for my beloved Travelpro Crew 2 Suitor which, after decades of faithful service, was irreparably crushed in the cargo hold during a recent regional flight in a small plane where these sizes do not fit in the overhead bins. Unfortunately, a pet peeve of mine comes to fruition with this product--the dimensions are not as advertised. This is 9" x 14.5" x 23.5" It's 9" deep if you don't put anything in the outer pouches and squish the outer pouches in a little bit. The body is 14" wide, but the wheel housing add another 1/2" in width. The length is 22.5 inches from the top to the bottom of the feet, 23.5 inches if you include the handle at the top. Everything else is fine, but if gate attendant makes you put it in the 9x14x22 measuring box a the gate, this will be a little too big. While this occurrence is likely to be rare, I don't understand why some luggage companies do this. Just give us the honest measurements.
