Seems to fit the need.
Product arrived and did what it stated. It works as a replacement for the original Makita battery pack. No issues fitting on the drill or charger. Getting two batteries was good, to alternate between them. Not sure how will last going forward (i.e. number of recharge cycles), but they meet the need for now. Thanks!

Not impressed
One battery failed already. Only charged it 3 times. Good thing it comes with 2.

Light but No way are these 3Ah batteries
I wanted a lighter weight/smaller battery for my subcompact driver. These are about the same weight as my ancient 1.5Ah Makita packs (old enough to not be plug compatible with a subcompact XDT18) and about the same or less runtime. I suspect the review below with a measured <1Ah rating is correct. Also the packs don't have the capacity LED display pictured in the listing. Strongly considering returning.

Unable to even use batteries
Batteries not charged when received. Charged them & only hold their charge for 5 minutes which makes them useless.

Well, they are lightweight.
The positive things with these are that they are lightweight and not expensive.I have started testing all of my new batteries. I use an electronic load set to 5A constant current draw and a cutoff voltage of 15V. This likely differs from what the manufacturers do, but I do not know their testing methods.Genuine Makita batteries test at around 90% of their stated capacity with my method. These batteries tested at <1Ah on all tests. (0.730, 0.874, 0.899) which puts them at ~0.9Ah/3.5Ah = 28% of stated capacity. It's a shame I did not do a real test sooner to be able to return them. I do not expect any non-Makita battery to get to 90%, but I would hope for 50-60% in the exact same test.Note: the attached image reflects 0.899Ah for a test with my parameters.
