Q: Does it run off mains

No it doesn’t, it’s a cooler box, just add ice and that’s it, works well for us when we are on the patio or in the garden, only draw back is a lack of wheels but is very light empty, just too big to move alone without wheels

Q: What is the internal dimensions please

The front sticker says the size is 100 Quarts, 95 litres or 145 cans. That equates to these approximate dimensions: Outer size: length 88cm x width 45cm x height 43cm Inner size: length 79cm x width 35cm x height 33cm

Q: "Reinforced swing-up handles with tie-down feature". What does tie down feature mean?

The handles on the end can change , yes hard to explain,. Pull the handle up to lift, and pull round and up from the bottom. basically the handles can move up and down making it easier to hold on too. but the plastic clips are not that strong after a year. But the cool boxes are very very good. I am very happy with mine. Hope this helps.
