Good and sturdy
I never thought the cross that Jesus died on was that wide / oh well my straw Jesus has got more room

It works well - a little light perhaps
This works well to hold a recipe book open, although probably won't cope with a fat book like Mrs. Beeton's Cookery! The wood is a little lightweight, but stronger than balsa. I'm not sure what it is.The two pieces fit together and come apart easily, so great if you want to keep this in a drawer when you aren't using it - they were a little loose fitting, but this could be a positive thing if that's what you intend to do. It does its job anyway.
