Cuts print costs down to size
At last a solution to the grossly overpriced ink cartridges that Epson have forced owners to use by creating software / drivers that reject non Epson / refilled Epson cartridges. Print and scan quality seems good, double sided print works well as does "Air print" / printing from iPad / Phone etc.Could not get the supplied Epson software to load on to a mac off either the CD or their "Support" online site, but this doesn't appear to have impacted on the Mac OS recognising and using the printer / scanner.Smaller physical footprint than one of the Epson printers it's replacing, but the design does look a bit as if someone has just said "take the existing range and bolt a tank on the side"!

Brilliant print quality
Definitely a step up from the standard run of the mill Epson printers. It is quiet and works well. The A3+ is a great bonus. Fabulous printer as long as you understand it is USB only.

Poor value for the money - Update!!!
I wasted a lot of money buying this printer. It cost me £499 and yet doesn't have wi-fi connection and the print quality isn't good enough for even amateur photography prints. It is called "multifunction" but all it does is simple printing on to paper - there is no more to it than that.Update!!!! - After a mere 6 weeks the printer heads have clogged and the printer has been returned to Amazon for repair. I really wish now that I hadn't wasted £500 on this piece of junk. I could have bought 10 cheap printers for the price of this one!

Great printer - Eco Tank 14000
This is my 4th Epson inkjet printer, I still use my R800, which is still going strong after 13 years. I have read many reviews of the EcoTank series of printers, I also watched a youtube video showing a lady being able to rub the ink off different media of various sizes, which obviously wasn't Epson paper. I finally took the plunge on the ET-14000, The outlay was more than most, but with the £50 cash back from Epson, it swayed my mind.I am personally, very impressed with it, colours are bright and consistent, I haven't had any photo's ruined by ink rubbing off, and I am using Black Diamond Premium paper, which is bright white and all my prints stand out brilliantly, I tested it using paper that I have had for some time, you just have to be careful it isn't curled at the edges, otherwise it will pick up smudges on the corner. The printer was very easy to set up, taking 22 minutes for first charge of ink bottles, from getting it out of the box to installation of software, it was only about 30-40 minutes to be up and running. It is a very quiet machine when in use, a lot quieter than I expected.Yes it does have a large footprint, but I expected that, yes it does take up a lot of room, but I was prepared for that too.I love the idea of printing up to A3+ photo's, as my partner and I are keen photographer's, we were eager to see our photo's printed out on A3, we have not been disappointed at all. I have been printing samples on paper from 80gsm to 260gsm and it handled all of them well.I have not found anything negative about this printer, I know a lot of people have said that it is not Wi-Fi and it doesn't have a SD slot or viewing screen, but neither has any of my other Epson printers I have owned, so this didn't bother me at all, if you share it on your home network, then you can use it from a different room. The real beauty of this printer is that it comes with enough ink to last you up to two years, but this really will depend on what you print and how often you use it, I have already bought replacement bottles of ink, all four cost less than than £30 delivered. I for one am happy as for the first time I can afford to use original inks continually as they are so affordable. All in all I do not regret my purchase

Printer result very good
Gives awesome results on glossy paper but very slow. It does print quietly which is good but beware when installing ink in the tanks can prove very messy if rushed also be careful to check the position of the transit level must be set correctly. Very difficult to justify cost of printer as it gives appearance of being a standard 1400 with the tanks placed as an add on particularly as there is no positive leak proof connection between ink bottles and the tanks. To add even more confusion the ink bottles pictured on installation leaflet different from those supplied thankfully epson tech team are good. The ink can remain in tanks without significant deterioration and lasts according to how often it is used so may requiring ink replenishing often. Beware however as this is a messy experience due to poor connection with ink bottles & tanks. Epson need to pay closer attention to this.
