East of West: The Apocalypse Year One Hardcover – 21 July 2015

So, it 's a long time that I am reading comics. This one is a true Masterpiece. The story is well-crafted, the protagonists are all fleshed out in an excellent manner and the art is nothing less than astonishing. Do yourself a favor and buy it if you consider yourself a comics lover. A true work of Art!

East of West is one of the most imaginative, random, complex story's I have ever read in comics. There's a lot going on and it's very easy to get side tracked. At first you will be confused, but on a second read it all seems to make sense. Well not everything, you will have several unanswered questions. The story is written well and is artwork is amazing. I would say it's the best artwork out right now. Theres lots of politics going on here and plenty of religious references. I will definitely recommend this one, even if it's solely for the artwork. I'm interested to see where this going and I want to found more about this message.

I was absolutely blown away by East of West, when I picked up the first graphic novel I was hooked and needed more.I saw this collection whilst looking to pick up Volume 2 and 3, so I knew I had go get this instead. If anyone is thinking of picking up this fantastic series, I'd advise starting with the hard back collections. It looks great, flows perfectly, and isn't as heavy as you'd think.I won't spoil any plot and just say that it's one of the best graphic novels I've read in a long time, very well written, the art is beautiful, and the setting and collision of themes and genres fits perfectly together in such a misfit way that it just works.

Great story and fantastic art, would recommend to all comic books readers.

That's how a graphic novel should look like. Great ideea, great storyline and scenery, great characters and conflicts. The world building is remarcable and the sci-fi western thing is also interesting. Great illustrations, great frameworks, colors and dialogues. Quite expensive but worth every penny. I'm looking forward for the continuation.

This is a great series with plenty of plotline.The book it self holds together nicely and was not damaged at all. I would recommend this to anyone who was even remotely into comics as Hickman does a fantastic job on this one.

Buy it, read it, stick it on your shelf. Show it off to friends then count the days till the next one comes out.

An incredible read and a story that continues to grab your attention all the way through! Can't wait to get the next collection to find out what happens next. A must have!!!
