All you need for Classic Fuzz tones
Always been a massive fan of fuzz pedals and this one for me is perfect, this landmine fuzz pedal offers a basic but extremely unique fuzz tone which can be recognized across music since the 60s. Great pedal, was somewhat confusing setting up since I often neglect reading manuals which is a very bad habit, just remember to connect the amp to the Output jack and the guitar to the input and then ENJOY!

Only works if back plate removed!
Didnโt work properly. Back plate is metal and it shorted with one of the internal solder connectors. Known issue for the manufacturer - who were very helpful but ultimately the only solution was either sending it them in USA or back to amazon. Shame as nice sound (when I took the back plate off to stop the short circuit!). Perhaps I was unlucky but I am sure I am not the only one.

Had one, sold it, miss it...
This is one pedal I sorely miss, having stupidly sold one years ago... With your volume flat out a low end boost seems to kick in, giving a thick, creamy tone with long sustain and loads of saturation (similar to Clapton's "woman tone"), but rolling the volume back a bit cleans and clears up the tone, giving a more traditional overdrive tone, which can be cleaned up completely if you roll the volume right back. Opening the back reveals a 9V battery connector (note there's no DC adaptor connection, and changing battery requires a screwdriver), and a brutally simple circuit. I feel I have to knock a star off here, because such a simple circuit and construction does not justify such a high price, and they could have made battery access simpler. But, you won't have to change the battery often... With constant, daily use I think I only had to change the battery once a year, if that. Just remember to unplug the input jack once you're finished and the battery should last for months on end. Reliability wise I never had a problem with it. On one occasion rainwater poured through a hole in the ceiling all over mine, soaking it inside. I thought it would be permanently damaged, but after half an hour to dry off on the radiator it worked fine, and continued in use for another couple of years. I sold it after I convinced myself I needed a cleaner sound, but I never quite achieved the tone I was after. Now I'm seriously thinking of buying another Fuzz Face... Great pedal.

This is the second fuzzface I've bought from Amazon and I new just what to expect and prayed for a perfect match of transistors. So I opened it,and was surprised that the rubber Matt around the footswitch was glued snugly on the peddle which usually isn't. Then I plugged it in and heard that beautiful creamy rich tone which almost sounds like a tube screamer and a good blues driver combined in one simple box, which in a good amp gets nice and crackly with treble or when on the neck pickup the low to midrange is truely apparent. So I think I did quite well and thank god I get to hear this great tone coarsing out of my amp instead of all that high gain flat blaz'e distortion stuffed in all basic amps. Thanks

This is a killer fuzz! Sounds even better than I'd hoped! The demo videos don't do this thing justice. Very responsive to your touch and your guitars volume. Cleans up really well! Sounds even better through an amp on the verge of breakup! I've played through a ton of fuzzes in my 20 plus years of playing guitar, and this is right up there with the best of em'! Would highly recommend if you like the sound of germanium fuzz circuits.

only power source is 9volt battery which is inconvenient to change out. Stew Mac sells inexpensive 9volt connectors which can be placed in the edge of the pancake shape and easily wired to the battery socket. This allows use of a standard power source as usually comes on the rest of pedals.
