Speck Products SPK-A2707 CandyShell Grip Case for Samsung Galaxy S5, Nickel Grey/Caribbean Blue

When I first bought my Galaxy S5 I decided to buy an otter box. I am an aircraft mechanic and I drop my phone from high places all the time. Since I didn't have my old, practically brick, flip phone any more I thought it would be safe to buy a good case. The otter box was bulky and heavy, but I ended up buying this case and it is fantastic. I drop it off airplane wings and drip Skydrol all over it. I wipe it off and my phone is practically brand new and doesn't break.

This is my third Speck Candy shell case identical to the first. My first one lasted over 3 years before I felt I should replace it due to daily wear. My wife's is over three years old and still in use. I also purchased one for my Dad for his new Android and he couldn't be happier with it. So I guess you could say I've actually purchased four now and they're all I'll probably ever want to use. Excellent product!

Very sturdy, easy to put on my phone, love the grippy lines. I bought the purple case and it is a darker purple than in the picture. The picture looks like it has a pink hue, but there is no pink at all. I had my local phone store install a Zagg invisible (glass) shield on my phone's screen and now my phone is very secure. I have already dropped my phone and my phone didn't even know it, and my screen was protected also.

This is the perfect case for someone who carries a phone in a place where it can slip out. The rubber grips really hold the phone in place and the hard case has saved my phone on many occasions. There is one drawback. The area where the charger plugs in on a S5 has a door that protects the connector. After repeatedly opening and closing the door with the case on, the rubber molding stretched out and protrudes from the front of the case. It never broke, but Speck could have designed this part of the case differently. Other than that, this case delivers.

I'll keep this short, sweet, and to the point. :) Other than the pink Lifeproof case I purchased for my iPhone 5S (from Amazon), this is one of the BEST phone cases I've ever used. The rubber-like grips on the sides of the case really do make it easier for you to use your phone one-handed, even if you're not texting. The blue/ teal/ greenish color is quite pretty in person. Also, for $15-$16, a reasonable price can be sometimes hard to find in a sturdy, well-constructed case -- another reason to purchase a Speck product (no matter what type of smartphone you own).The only thing I would have liked to have seen from Speck were more color options for this particular style of case. It was either black/ gray, black/ white, or this beautiful teal green. However, when you really think about it, color choice is small potatoes compared with having a good quality phone case. Hey, you can always order stick-on jewels or decal stickers to decorate your phone with! Have fun with life and enjoy each day! :)

I bought this because other cases felt too slick in the hand. The rubberized back design eliminated any of that slickness that made other cases feel like I didn't have a solid grip on them. Love the button overlays too that make it super easy to find your volume and power keys. All ports were still accessible for chargers. There's also plenty of lip on the front to prevent the screen from touching a surface if laid flat on its face.

The case works great I love that it's not big and bulky and still offers great protection. In other reviews people are saying that when you make a phone call the person on the other end can't hear you, I haven't had that problem so I suggest you buy and judge for your self as that problem maybe an isolated incident. After having this case for a month the reviews I've read about the rubber piece at the bottom ripping has happened to me I don't know why they didn't make that piece hard plastic but since it's ripped that small part of my phone can be damaged if dropped

The charging port on my S5 just would not work anymore, so I was chargong my batteries externally & changing them out several times a day. (What a pain in the ....!) This phone has been in an otterbox since b4 I left the store w/ it, but that case was not going to hold up to taking it off & snapping it back on several times a day. I needed a softer case that i could remove easily, so I could change batteries often, but I just didn't think this type of case would protect my phone. But along w/ a glass screen prorector, this case has protected my phone just as well as that bulky (kinda ugly) otterbox did! And taking the rubbery softer back off & on hasn't affected it's fit or its looks! I was suprised#

Very solid, fits the S5 nicely, seems to attract dust. It looks like it would protect the phone in a fall. Haven't dropped it yet so don't know for sure. It has ribs on it which make it not slippy. Worth the money

I am very clumsy and this phone has saved me several times, from dropping onto a club floor, to down some stairs, this case is super sturdy, there's a few scratches showing on it, but it works brilliantly, it's worth paying to protect your phone.

Little bit chunky but seriously solid and I have no doubt it will protect my phone if I drop it. Access to all ports and buttons is provided.

Aunque por desgracia se rompio casi al mes de la parte central arriba de la entrada usb, pero supongo que es porque es la parte mas delgada, por fuera es de un plastico resistente y por dentro tiene una espuma que parece amoldarse bien y proteger el telefono
