A Marathon of Running Jokes: From Parkrun to Ultra - laugh your way to glory! Paperback – September 17, 2017

I'm enjoying this so far and there are some genuinely funny jokes in here and some good anecdotes. I'm trying not to rush it and so have read about a quarter but felt it was time to stick a review on. The writer is well known (infamous) on the Scottish ultra running scene and a few of the jokes relect this with names of fellow runners. If you are in the Scottish ultra scene you will recognise people and you may be in the book yourself. Even if you are not you will enjoy the humour and pithy comments about the 'mental' sport of running. I have laughed out loud already.I like this one:On the start line of the Edinburgh Marathon were two runners wearing fancy dress. One was dressed as a chicken and the other as an egg. I thought to myself, “This should be interesting."Clever.Buy the book it won't cost you much, certainly less than a race entry fee and you will laugh more and it will hurt less (well a bit ...)

Brought as a present for my son who likes running, it raised a smile or two.
