Stokke Sleepi Junior Mattress, White - Made from Breathable, Hypoallergenic Foam - Provides Support & Comfort - Includes Soft, Non-Toxic Cover

We were not sure about this purchase, but this mattres is exactly the same as the smaller version, not harder or softer. We have been using the smaller for almost 3 years and are absolutely happy with it. The fabric and consistency haven't changed with the use. We expect the same with the larger one!

The mattress is HORRIBLE! HARD, HARD HARD. My 3 year old who has had slept on the baby Stokke bed since he was 3 days old (which has a very different, soft but firm mattress we bought 3 years ago) said "Mommy, its hard, I dont like it". He was up all night, terribly uncomfortable. I lay on it - and it didnt even move or sink a little bit. Hard as a plank. Dont care whether we get our money back or not - packing this mattress up tonight. What a disappointment Stokke!!!!

Fits great. Comfort is ok, no complaints. Value for money? Nope.

As a seller below mentioned, this mattress by Colgate is very hard. However, if you are newer to the Stokke Sleepi line, you have probably had your toddlers sleeping on Colgate mattresses already and they are possibly accustomed to the mattress firmness.If you have your toddlers in the older style mattresses, which have ribs in the foam on the bottom and came with a washable and removable cover, your kiddos will likely be in for a shock when they lay on this mattress. They may ask what they did wrong :)After getting this, I did some research and it looks like you can still get the older style junior mattresses overseas, but they won't ship here. So, my guess is that there are import restriction on mattresses and that Stokke likely outsourced the mattress manufacturing to Colgate to be the domestic supplier in the US. I'm thinking that they should have done a little more quality control on that decision...Also, please note that the cover on this mattress is not removable and it doesn't come with any fitted cover, etc. Just the mattress.One more note: I just checked the Stokke website and they are offering the older style mattress but I'm skeptical. I bet it is the Colgate and that they haven't updated their website. I've e-mailed them and I'll update the post with any answer.

Just found a waterproof mattress pad that works for this junior sized mattress -- Sealy Posturpedic Waterproof Barrier Mattress Pad in size Twin XL (38x80 in.) While it's not made for the oval shape, it's only just a little bit bigger and I think it works just fine. Hope this is helpful for others. Not sure what this normally retails for, but I found it at Homegoods for just $24.99.
