Anjou 16pcs Makeup Brush Set (Giftbox)

This is my second set from this user, these are much fluffier and so much softer than the other one I got ( which was specifically more for special-effects make up ) these brushes however, are definitely an every day brush. These can be comparable to BH cosmetics, unicorn cosmetics, and much better quality than real techniques in my opinion. They do come with a slight smell, but as always you should wash your brushes before initially use and the smell goes away. These brushes come with a nice leather case to store them in, and a booklet that says what each brushes purposes for beginners. This is an amazing brush set for beginners, even I who has been doing make up for about 10 years plus now and I really like this set. I didn't realize that the metal detailing was rose gold, which is very in and very pretty. The brushes are a little on the longer side compared to what I work with, but still very comfortable to hold, good quality, and light.

I showed my friend these pictures after they got here, and had her guess the price. She thought I spent 60$ on these! These really are high quality, for an unheard of price! The chemical smell lasted for maybe a minute, but you have to be holding the bag to your face to even notice it. I highly recommend this set. There's literally a brush for everything. Super soft, sturdy handles, and they work great!

I love these brushes. They are so soft & thick. Make up application is perfect with these brushes without any bristles falling out. Amazing quality for such a low price. They are pretty as well if you want to put them in a vase like I did.

The brushes are great very soft and also pretty. They seem like high quality brushes. I have not used them on my face yet but I think they will work perfectly. The packaging for the product is also very nice and the leather case that the brushes come in. The reason I am giving a four star rating instead of a five is because I washed the brushes first and they were so dirty the water was gray it kinda freaked me out. I provided photos of the water before starting to clean them and the water after. (I did not wash any other brushes in this water besides the new ones) I suggest making sure you really wash the brushes before using the product. I personally used baby shampoo and my automatic brush cleaning kit. Other than that I can’t wait to use the product.

 Just got in the mail today and when opening it they do have a very strong smell of nail polish or lacquer paint which is from the black handles. The brushes are really soft and I even tried to pull them off to check quality and they didn't pop off :D! For the price it is a nice pack especially for beginners like myself. I haven't used them yet but will do an update if they dont apply makeup well. I also will upload a video of the pack and show how sturdy they are~☆

While there are definitely a few oddities about this collection that make it seem like the bargain-basement product it is, overall I am amazed at the quality of the brushes as well as the case. For $16.99, you really cannot go wrong. The set comes in a gift box with a pamphlet to tell you which brush is which. Cons: No descriptions on the handles. I fixed this by printing a couple labels and wrapping them around the handles, which took about 40 minutes total but was worth it in the end. In addition, some brushes intended for certain uses (based on pamphlet) are strangely sized, making you think they're probably leftovers from something else. For example, the concealer brush in particular is huge, whereas the foundation brush is on the smaller side. Another oddity is the "angle" on some of the angled brushes - it's not as steep or even as you would find on a professional-grade brush. Furthermore, a couple of the angled brushes actually look like they started life as straight brushes and were literally chopped into an angle afterward. Pros: Picks up product really well! If you've ever tried to apply product with a cheap brush and found yourself madly swiping at your makeup and your face to no avail, you know how nice it is to work with an affordable brush that picks up product without any pressure. So far, I've tried bronzer, blush, liquid foundation, and lipstick. I'm not thrilled with the liquid foundation application but the bronzer and blush brushes did a fantastic job. For the price, the foundation brush isn't shabby but just not my favorite of all-time ever, either. Another pro is the case, which has magnetic clasps and is a supple leatherette-type material. Usually, the cases on sets this cheap are awful, but this one is nice enough that I would use it for other brushes in a pinch. Really love the case. Another pro is the breakdown of the brush types. Rather than just throwing together random brush types like some cheap sets do, there is actually a clear organization to this set. There are 7 for eyes including a lash/brow, 3 for highlighting/contouring including a nose contour, 3 foundation brushes (foundation, angled foundation, powder foundation), plus bronzer, blush, and lipstick. Another pro is the look of the brushes. They are gorgeous. The shiny black handle and rose-gold ferrule look fantastic together. I also appreciate the fact that the bristles have white tips to make product easier to see (at least, I'm assuming that's the reason. The brushes are synthetic, not dual-fiber). Overall, definitely a great value and surprisingly really very useful.10/18 UPDATE: Been using these for powder, blush, highlight and contour for a few weeks now and they are holding up very well (washed once per week). Little, if any, shedding on any of the brushes. They also bounce back from cleaning fast and keep their shape intact. Very pleased. Only real letdown is that the width of the handles is not compatible with my Miraclean Brush Cleaner so I have to wash them by hand.

-1 star!!!! THEY CAME USED!!!!I bought the black and rose gold set and they have been so good to me that I decided to but my friend the same set but white.... I am so disappointed by what I saw! I mean dear God how disgusting!!!

The brushes themselves are actually really soft and thick. the eye shadow brushes really help with blending out eye shadow perfectly, and the larger brushes are great for blush and highlighter application. The case they come in is a really good idea, except the material is hard, and doesn't really fold easily when putting brushes away, so I just removed the brushed into another case. I really wanted a full set of nice brushes, and these would have been perfect if one of the brushes was not missing upon arrival. Overall, still a great buy just disappointed I was missing one of the brushes :(
