Fantastic Keyboard - Great for Windows and Mac
First of all, for anyone confused about switches - Red ones are linear, meaning there's no added physical "bump" in the key travel.I bought the brown - because they're about as quiet as reds, but I like the slight more tactility within each press. And to me, I think they sound slightly quieter/smoother in sound than the reds in the Newmen GM610 keyboard. As they are different keyboards, it can't really be a fair comparison. The reason I prefer this keyboard over the GM610 mentioned above (that I returned in the end), is the dedicated arrow keys.If Newmen did a 65% keyboard, I may have opted for that initially. The things I love:- This plays very nicely with Windows and Mac - with the GM610, it suggests you download additional (third-party) software to make it play nicely with macOS (despite there being a dedicated "Mac" and "Windows" button to switch between. This one, it just works right out of the box, seemingly flawlessly.- The feel is brilliant, the sound is great and shouldn't disturb little one sleeping in adjacent room.- I seem to be typing faster than ever on this thing, and my touch-typing is adapting to nearly all aspects of this keyboard well so far.- The look is really cool - nothing too over/understated, just a slightly retro keyboard without unnecessary frills. The only downside I've found so far:- The connection was a bit wobbly on two separate occasions, when waking my work laptop up from sleep. Switching the keyboard off and on did not work - only disconnecting via Bluetooth then re-connecting solved it.Having only experienced this twice, I will let it slide, hoping it will no longer be an issue.I will look to update this review if there are any further issues in future.

Excellent value and performance
I've had a 610 for a while and love the keyboard, but was missing standalone arrow and function keys so the 840 seemed a perfect fit.Good battery life, great connectivity and excellent RGB customisation options via the app. Highly recommended. The 840 also fits standard replacement keycap layouts as seen in my pic.

US layout - No | or backslash \ easily available -
So this is a nice keyboard - the main issue is that if you select U.K. layout, you are stuck with @ displayed on the 2 key, but “ is actually produced. If you are not a touch typist, this might be an issue. Also , there is no way to get the backslash or pipe symbols- usually the backslash can be typed by using the right hand alt key and another key - but this does not work on this keyboard.

NEWMEN GM840 75% Mechanical Keyboard TKL
- Value for money on the keyboard is very good, switches are nice enough in my opinion and it does not feel like a super cheap keyboard with decent stablisers.- Easy to take apart which for anyone happy to perform minor mods it can be made into a really nice sounding and feeling keyboard without a huge amount of effort, lubing the switches and stabalisers is pretty easy due to the hot swap switches and the bottom of the case can be easily filled with sound deadening foam.- Battery life is more than enough for me using it daily at work and home with the ligths off (lasting over a week on wireless) but with the lights on I only get about a day so if you want them on that may be an issue.- Main issue I do not like is not having adjustable legs on the keyboard for its height.- Comes with a dongle for devices that dont have bluetooth cards, can connect to 3 devices that do have bluetooth and can be hard wired over USB C.- Battery is also a standard Lithium non soldered so could probably be easily upgraded or replaced if you know what you are doing.

Good sound and feel
Needed a keyboard to take with me so wanted a bit smaller. Opted for this without the 10 key but with real arrow keys.In person the colour and shape are nicer than the photos that look a bit square bright plastic. The sound is better than I thought and keyboard heavy enough that it doesn’t rattle.I like the Mac and PC option on the keyboard so you can move the command key. Paired well with my MacBookThere is a single colour backlight in the patterns which is what I wanted.Only little thing is the wireless dongle is just magnetic to the bottom slot so probably keep it separate as could be knocked in travel bag.

A brilliant keyboard
My old Logitech Pro was starting to have problems. Certain keys were wrongly lit and the " key needed to be slammed down. I already had a Newmen GM610 as a couch keyboard and loved it so I decided to get something a little bigger for my desk. It's got a bit of weight to it and the rubber feet keep it solidly in place. I got the brown switches which are pretty quiet and the tactile feedback is subtle but still there. I'm typing this review with the unit now and despite never having used this exact layout before, I can touch type with ease. The keys don't wobble and it feels like there's some dampening going on inside. I'm not a keyboard enthusiast but I can safely say that this keyboard is fantastic value for money.

Wireless and Bluetooth do not work!
I used this on a Mac with both Bluetooth and the wireless dongle. It drops so many key presses that it is absolute torture to use - it can take half a dozen attempts to enter a password. The wired connection however works flawlessly - but that’s not why you buy a wireless keyboard. I don’t think this is due to interference from other equipment as I tested it in different rooms and also my Logitech wireless keyboard works well in the same environment. I also tested it with a tablet and got the same effect. The seller suggested that I upgrade the firmware but this can only be achieved from a Windows PC. So definitely do not buy this if you only have a Mac.

Faulty space bar
I've been using this keyboard for about a year now for work and it's been excellent. So I ordered a second one for personal use. However, when it arrived I noticed that the space bar keeps on sticking. I thought it may go away with time but it's still not fixed and so the keyboard has been rendered unusable. It's a massive shame because I like everything else about it
