*Update- 6 years later: This is by far the best purchase I've made on Amazon. I've just ordered my 4th table cover. I bought one for my mother and 3 for my own table. We moved to a new house but I had to keep my breakfast table because I love it and it goes with everything! This cover keeps the table pristine. My kids love to poke holes in it (because they get bored?!), and that lets water into the reclaimed wood underneath the plastic so each table cloth/protector has "only" lasted a couple years at a time. However, we use our breakfast table DAILY, multiple times per day, for all kinds of things on top of meals- such as arts and crafts. Original Post: Love it!!! We have a Restoration Hardware reclaimed wood breakfast table and our 2 toddlers would get food, juices, sauces, you name it, all over it and into the grooves of the aged wood. I bought a super thick clear table cover for over $60 and had to return it because it was terrible. It didn’t lay flat, didn’t fit around the table evenly, and would slide around all the time. Not to mention, it was sticky and constantly looked dirty. It ruined the look of the table. When we got this one (for a third of the price), it fit around the table and it stays snug. It actually protects the table/wood and the table still looks beautiful- You can see the reclaimed wood clearly through this cover. After a couple weeks, all the wrinkles came out and it’s just a very subtle film (like Saran Wrap) that protects the top. Food wipes off easily, it protects the table, stays put, and it shows the beautiful wood underneath- so worth it!! Now the only thing idk about yet is the resistance to heat. I probably won’t ever put anything too hot directly on it anyway though

I was hesitant to buy a clear table cover because the idea kinda reminded me of my childhood...I knew several families who had clear plastic coverings on everything...very off-putting. But this came out better than I thought, and I don't have to chase people around with coasters. We have a 48" round table with a nice wood design and finish, so it's nice to be able to see through the clear plastic. It fits nice and snug, and I was able to put it on by myself. This cover almost looked wadded up in its delivery bag packaging, but i purchased a "second chance" cover at a discounted price. Maybe original packaging is a little better. It was all crinkled up (pictured), but with a little smoothing with a WARM hair dryer, it looks much better. I'm not sure if all the wrinkles will ever come out (it's been several days now), but it really doesn't look bad! No weird smell, looks high-gloss. I would buy it again if I needed to.

3 years in a row we have purchased this exact item to function as a pool cover for the bigger size kiddie pool (5ft around). IT. IS. PERFECT! I feel bad not reviewing for this purpose sooner. It keeps the bugs and debris out so the water can be used day to day. We have a hand held pool skimmer that we also use to keep the water free of gunk. We also have a little pool float that holds a mini chlorine tab in it that sits in the pool when no one is playing in it. And we have THIS! You don’t NEED the other items but add them to this “cover” and it puts your kiddie pool on a whole new level! We save on water usage by not having to dump and refill. The kid splashes enough that with these other measures we just have to top the pool off rather than dump and refill. (Tip: if the pool DOES get scummy, take a broom, put a little water and a couple drops of blue dawn in the pool then “sweep” the bottom of the pool. The broom will scrub that stuff up in no time. Rinse it all off and you have a fresh pool AND broom!) Another pro (or con) is that it keeps the water warm so our little doesn’t get too much of a shock when he jumps in fully clothed at 7:00 am. Because it’s not designed for this purpose it only has about a year life span although my cheap a$$ did drag almost two seasons out of the first one by cleaning it frequently and storing it etc. easier just to buy a new one each season and repurpose the old retired one. Creativity will get you far there! Rain water will collect and weigh it down. Especially if the pool is not full. We put a larger bouncy ball in the pool under the cover to kind of “tent” it so rain water runs off rather than collects. Doesn’t always work out like we hoped. A few times the rain caused it to collapse into the pool and drug all the gross stuff with it but the once in a while issue is well worth the reprieve from battling a nasty scummy pool on a daily basis. HAVE bought repeatedly, will buy again!

I recently purchased a new glass dining table which is 48 inches round. I expected fingerprints and smudges however, my husband scratched the table with his keys or something sharp. I wanted to purchase a clear plastic table cover and I found this one on Amazon. It didn’t have a smell, and fit over the table set with a tablecloth and 4 placemats. Naturally, it was wrinkled from being folded but they’re barely noticeable after installation. My tablecloth is wrinkled not the plastic! The elastic holds everything in place without shifting, and the plastic feels thick and sturdy! To clean it just wipe with a damp sponge or cloth. If you’re bothered looking at the elastic through your clear table, use a tablecloth like I did, tuck the edges under the elastic, or let it be. Great price, fast shipping, works great! Love It ! In fact, writing about it makes me want another one and I’m ordering it again !

I purchased a stretchy table cloth that really changed the look of my table. The only downside was if any grease or food got on it, it would ruin it due to the fabric. I found this and thought I'd try it on top. Was a little difficult getting on, but it is tight and sturdy. It is water resistant so you don't have to worry about watermarks on your table. The downside to this and the reason I did not give 5 stars is, no matter what I tried, I could not get the wrinkles of the plastic out. I have now had on my table for a few weeks and the wrinkles are starting to get better on their own. Don't expect it to happen right away. The other is the plastic is super thin and it did come with some flaws such as the nicks in the plastic. Other than that it is serving the purpose.

I bought this over a year ago and I have no complaints. It does exactly what I wanted it to do and that is protect my table and it is wearing very well. Initially when I put it on it was a little crinkled, however over the next few weeks it became nice and flat. I also found it a little difficult to put on the table but with soft persuasion managed to do it. As I haven't had the need to take it off and put it on again, I can't rate it.

I bought it a little big on purpose because my table is thick around the edges. I'll add pictures for reference. I was so excited and a little impatient about getting this in the mail. I'm so happy I finally have it. I'm going to use a hairdryer to try to get the wrinkles out, but it fits as well as can be expected, and will protect my table cloth from 4 crazy kids. Why is it so hard to find protective plastic for round tables?

Love this table cloth for my ingatorp kitchen table ! It fits perfectly and wraps around the thick edge. I really like that my kid can’t pull on it and slide it off the table. My only con is that within 24h of having it my 3 year old had managed to get a tomato sauce covered macaroni to fall off the placemat and onto the table cloth ... even though I immediately wiped it off it caused a stain I can’t seem to get rid of :( so now I actually use a cheap cover over this cover for meals 🤪 It’s also quite easy to get little chips in the plastic so again I recommend an additional table cloth over if the kids are playing a game at the table or coloring etc...
