Remember those times when you ran out of shampoo and you grab the bar of soap to wash your hair? That's what this feels like. It lathers up pretty nicely and smells decent too. I don't think I would use this at home over my regular shampoo though. I think if you were going camping or something, it would be convenient to carry around. But then again, you could always get a small travel sized shampoo. So far, I think I prefer liquid shampoo....but this works ok too.

I am so reluctant to give this 4 stars, honestly it's a 5 star product with an asterisk. Let me get that out of the way. The ONLY thing that I dislike about this bar set is that I can't pin down the scent. It's not bad, it's just not bay rum.With that said? Easily the best bar shampoo and bar conditioner that I've used. Versatile, lathers well, the boxes they come in are great storage in a pinch. You can use them as a body wash or a shaving cream as well, making them superb for camping trips. I've taken to using the bars on my hair and beard mostly, and admittedly haven't used it for shaving or as a body wash yet.That being said, this blows the competitors out of the water for me. I've tried some generic brands that were alright, and ethique which had an excellent shampoo bar and a terrible conditioner bar for me. Luxiny's conditioner bar is so good that I'm frankly not interested in exploring other brands, they set the standard too high.I'm curious about the other scents, as this "bay rum" isn't hitting the mark for me. Bay rum's pretty distinct, and while this isn't bad smelling, it isn't bay rum. Maybe I got a bad batch? Regardless, besides the scent being off, this is my new go-to for shampoo and conditioner bars.

This is the first time I have used a shampoo/conditioner bar. I have heard great things about it so I wanted to see what all the hype was about. I was impressed with the lather and loved the scent. I didn’t find it very moisturizing, but my hair always needs extra oils and I use masks bc it is severely dry and damaged from bleaching. The bar is very small and I think it would be great if you are going on vacation and want to pack light. Overall, bars are not for me. I definitely still have to use conditioner afterwards… but I can see how someone with healthy/fine hair would love this.

First of all I love that these are made in the USA... and the scent, oh my gosh, it smells delicious! I ordered the Pina Colada which helps to hydrate dry and damaged hair. I've only ordered shampoo and conditioner bars once before and although I'm not a big fan of them I do think they are ideal for travel since there's no chance of spills or messes. My shampoo bar arrived with a few small black spots however which was a little weird and at $29.99 I definitely think they are overpriced, especially since they are rather small. Surprisingly I do like them though and would recommend if you can get them on sale for maybe twenty bucks.

The shampoo and conditioner bars I ordered were unscented and they both had a very faint, clean scent that I found quite pleasant. I really like the convenience of using bar shampoo and bar conditioner when traveling because it eliminates having to cram two more bottles of liquids into that tiny quart size zip bag. These two smaller sized bars will be tucked into a small plastic soap travel box and stored anywhere in my suitcase. I won't have to worry about leaks or drips.The 60 gram (2.1ounce) shampoo bar has a bit of a rough texture to it making it easy for me to grab the right one while in the shower. I wet my hair and the bar and then worked up a lather by rubbing the bar across my head a few times. It didn't take much to get a lot of lather. The shampoo rinsed out quickly and left my hair feeling clean but not stripped and dry.The 50 gram (1.8 ounce) conditioner bar is smooth and shiny. I rubbed it across the ends of my hair and then worked the conditioner in with my hands. I could feel it make my hair slippery at that point. It rinsed out easily and is moderately conditioning. This is not a deep conditioner. It left my hair soft and smooth with no greasy or oily look.Good products that work well and are so much easier to deal with when traveling.

These were my first bar shampoo and conditioner, and I'm so happy I tried them!The lavender scent is so soothing, but not overwhelming, and would make a great bodywash scent.The shampoo lathers up and clings to my hair easily and with almost no effort, and the conditioner is just as effortless to use and leaves my hair feeling happy and soft. (I have long, straight, fine hair). They leave my hair feeling clean and light, and I can not think of one complaint I have.I want to add that I feel a bar might be easier for those of us that have days where self care feels so hard accomplish. To me, it feels like less steps and less to add to days where the smallest things can feel overwhelming. If you know, you know.

If you have trypophobia, this solid hair soap is not for you. I have a slight phobia and noticed it dries in a way that makes it appear likes it's full of holes and I was not excited-- I closed my eyes and closed the case and reminded myself that it works so nicely and it's UNSCENTED and that is hard to find! Love the conditioning bar since I had to give up conditioning my hair in the shower since it makes me itch. This conditioning bar doesn't make me itchy and also UNSCENTED which is wonderful! By the way-- it's not full of holes-- I suspect it's the way they encapsulated the ingredients and just appears that way-- lathers well and leaves my big crazy hair feeling clean and not super dry.
