Working on my first wingback chair reupholstery project, i had initially researched the best staplers to use. most websites discouraged electric staplers as they do not penetrate hard woods or thick layers and they recommended numerous pneumatic staplers which required a compressor. i live in an apartment building with limited space (no garage or basement). i did purchase a compressor but it sounded like a go kart motor. too loud for myself or my neighbors to tolerate. i went back to research electric staplers as my last resort. i ordered the Maestri ME 3G and i am extremely satisfied with the power of shooting the staples into the wood.....at times i've have to do a slight tap with my upholstery hammer on a thick layer, but the staples go right in 95% of the time. the safety latch automatically engages when you release your finger and loading new staples is very easy.the only drawback so far is, i wish the motor of the stapler didn't extent in front of where the staples are released. this makes it difficult to get into tight corners as it doesn't staple well if it's not angled 90 degrees to the the surface you're stapling.

I just started using the stapler. The chair I am upholstering has very hard, dense wood on the frame. After I pull the trigger, the staple does not go all the way into the wood. I then must use a hammer to force the staple into the wood. Some of the staples just bent out. It is lightweight and good for some things. I think it will work for other projects and other types of wood. The idea it came with 10,000 staples was very helpful.

I had been using my sister's stapler, an earlier Maestri model , to help her with her upholstery jobs but wanted one so I could return hers. This model seems lighter & can get into smaller spaces in chairs better since the nose is pointed more. The main difference is the 1/2" crown while hers is a 3/8" crown. Using less staples & holding better.

I did my homework on the highest rated electric upholstery before my purchase of the Maestri ME 3G.It arrived on time with theextra staplers included.I removed it out of its case and loaded it and tried it on a small 2x4” piece of wood.It performed as expected.I intend to reupholster my dinning room chair set in the near future.I,also plan to use it to construct and repair art frames.I can’t waitto start my projects.Thank you,🤙🤙🤙🤙🤙

Light enough to manage, strong enough to embed the staple into hard wood. I am using this for an upholstery class. I have only used it for one class, but it seems to be a decent stapler. Only time will tell if it is durable.

This works as described! It is powerful enough to pierce hard work so no need for a pneumatic gun and air compressor. Very very please. It is a bit bulky (wish it had a longer nose) so it’s hard to get into small areas. But would recommend for those like me who didn’t want a loud compressor!

I like the stapler for light weight upholstery. However I am not happy with the fact that you can not use universal staples. Also I would prefer heavier staples. Must order the staples from this company. I suspect it is imported from China due to the long shipping time.

It is possible with the use of the included (free) 10,000 staples that this staple gun came with, the problem might possibly be with the low quality staples causing the gun to jam every other shot. Several times it would load 3-4 staples at a time and I'd have to un-jam the stapler constantly. Staples would be bent and stuck in the beak of the staple.I also would like to suggest that there be a center-mark in white to align the staples uniformly with other craft projects. I purchased some staples from another company and will see if there is an improvement to the action of the gun and will report back. Until then, I've given this stapler a 3-Star review.
