This is the BEST all-natural deodorant (not antiperspirant) I have ever used, and I have tried many brands. I first started wearing aluminum-free deodorant around 7 years ago, as I have sensitive skin and wanted to eliminate the use of aluminum due to research suggesting it can be toxic to humans in large quantities. I also suffer from hyperhidrosis, which is excessive sweating. It took a little over 2 weeks for my body to detox from the aluminum-based antiperspirant and during that time, I will admit that I definitely had body odor. After the two week mark, my underarms became acclimated to the deodorant. YES, you will STILL sweat while using a deodorant - but sweating isn’t really the issue for me. Body odor was always the issue - so I clogged my sweat glands with aluminum antiperspirants to stop the sweating, which made my body sweat even more in an attempt to excrete toxins from my sweat glands. At one point I was prescribed a harsh anti-perspirant body wipe called Qbrexa to try to alleviate my sweating. This made me dehydrated and I couldn’t tolerate it as it also dried up my salivary glands. I tried a few brands of natural deodorant that contained baking soda - many of these smelled great in the tube, but the baking soda ended up leaving a horrible sour smell (and residue) on my clothes... which ended up creating more work for me as my laundry had to be washed multiple times, especially after exercise and intense workouts. Desperate to once again rid myself of body odor, I read an article in Allure magazine about different mineral-based, baking powder-free natural deodorants and I landed on Schmidt’s.I started out with the Jasmine Tea sensitive skin deodorant. It does not contain baking soda like the non-sensitive version, and I am thrilled to report it DID NOT leave any sour smell or residue on my clothing! NONE! The Jasmine tea has a more earthy smell to it and I do like the smell, but my absolute favorite scent is the coconut pineapple for sensitive skin. It has more of a fruity smell, and it’s a strong scent, but it masks odors very well, and is also free of baking powder. It does not irritate my skin; however, the more gentler version of these two is the Jasmine Tea. If you have extremely sensitive skin, I would recommend you try the Jasmine Tea first so long as you don’t mind more of an earthy, fresh smell. A little of this goes a long way! One tip is to make sure you apply this to clean skin - not on skin that has deodorant, lotion, or residue on it. 3-4 gentle swipes should be fine - don’t over-apply this. If you’re just getting started (eliminating aluminum for the first time), give your body time to adjust before you throw in the towel. It takes time to detoxify one’s system so patience is key.I also wipe my deo bar off frequently with a dry paper towel as it can gum up and the lid can get a bit messy due to the natural ingredients. If I exercise, I rinse off afterward, ensure my underarms are clean, and then I reapply this to clean skin. It’s extra work but it makes a huge difference in effectiveness (I have had to do this regardless the brand). Overall, I cannot say enough good things about this deodorant and I hope this company continues to make no baking powder products for those of us with sensitive skin. Highly recommend!

Works great and pleasant scents!

I especially like the product because it has no harmful products or aluminum and has a very mild scent. It contains odor. It is not an anti-perspirant which is the only drawback. I've been using the product for a few years now and am very satisfied.

This deodorant works and the pineapple coconut smells pretty damn good. The Jasmine Tea is more of a feminine or floral scent. It doesn't really match well with man musk(for lack of a better phrase). Nonetheless, both work extremely well and keeping sweat and odor to a minimum. Schmidt's deodorants are a little thick which can possibly make you apply more deodorant than you intended to apply. Also the thickness of the deodorant makes me go through sticks faster. Still I'm appreciative of the effectiveness of the deodorant and the lack of irritation to my skin.

After trying to find me a deodorant with better ingredients that actually works for a very long time... I have finally found it! This is it! So, so happy! I can't even count how many "clean" formulas I've tried, but they did absolutely nothing for me. Then someone suggested this one. I have to admit, some of these reviews scared me a bit at first. But, I've been using my own, pretty strong, homemade formula for years, so I already knew I am not sensitive to biggest "offenders" ( and in stronger concentration, too ) - baking soda and essential oils ( so many people are sensitive to these, and many don't even know it ). And then all the oils and butters and what not ... So, I decided to give it a try. And I am so very happy I did! This keeps me odorless all day long, no re-aplication needed, like with all the other "clean" ones I've tried! Those just wouldn't/couldn't hold up. And, I don't even sweat a lot, nor do I have strong BO ( yet those made me smell like a skunk and in no time. Ugh. ) Plus, these don't irritate me one bit. Love, love, love 'em!My personal favorite is the Ylang Ylang one. The smell is divine!The texture of these can be a hit or miss sometimes, depending on a batch, I guess ( ingredients from different sources, amounts used, plus no additives like in your "regular" deo/antiperspirants that smooth, stabilize, make soft and firm at the same time, easy to apply... so they can differ from batch to batch ). Some are firmer, on a dry side, and a bit grainy, a bit harder to apply. But that only happened on two occasions in my case. Others are smooth, nice, amazing, and no problem whatsoever. I wish this was not so. And, I hope they can improve the formula. But, from my personal experience of making my own, I know this happens sometimes with this kind of deodorants. So, I'll take it. Especially because they work so fantastically for me. Plus, I am tired of trying to find something that works, and on occasion, making my own. So... ;)One last thing, just in case people don't know it already - these are deodorants. Not antiperspirants. They won't prevent sweating. None of "clean" ones do that. So, if antiperspirant is something you are looking for, you should look elsewhere. This is not it.Edit ( October, 2019 ): These have been really bad lately. The product is extremely painful to apply due to this weird, sharp, uneven, bumpy texture. I don't know what is going on, but you need to fix this asap! It's not a joke. The product itself does not irritate me, but the application does. It feels like trying to apply razors to your armpits! Ouch! I don't want to say good bye to my fave deo, but I will have to if this doesn't change. And no more 5 stars for you till then. Taking some down. This is unacceptable.

Update: A whole week's batch of clothes ruined. No fixing (tried stain removers, soaking, oxy clean even) the silk blouses and tops which now have permanent wet type of stains. I love the jasmine best and will use it for something like for black cotton tshirts only, I suppose. So, in the end, love this product, made a great deodorant, but ruined my work tops so can't use.I cannot believe I finally found a more natural product that works all day! Talking about the Jasmine, and love the scent too! The coconut did not last as long. I am soooo happy with the jasmine though. I read that you shouldn't apply it right after shaving but I had already applied it, no problem. Love it.

No me gustaron los aromas. Recomiendo mil veces más el de charcoal o el de rosas. El producto es un poco áspero al ponerlo, puede irritar la piel al sudar. Le falta suavidad. Pero es muy eficiente contra la transpiración y natural claro. Y dura mucho!

Es el único desodorante que realmente funciona en mi piel. Son desodorantes veganos, sin crueldad animal, duraderos, de consistencia agradable. Los 3 aromas me gustan, sin embargo el de color amarillo es mi favorito. La entrega fue rápida, sin problemas.
