MODIFIED REVIEW TO REFLECT UPDATE
The original review is posted below. However, I was contacted by the company and given a full refund, AND the company is sending me a different mask to try. So, I'm amending my review to 4 stars because I'm confident that IF you try mask and do not like it, the company will refund your money or offer you another mask that may be more comfortable. THAT IS CUSTOMER SERVICE AT ITS FINEST. And it's really difficult to find that kind of guarantee when buying a product. I'm very impressed. So BUY with confidence. The first time I received one of these, the strap was broken, so I exchanged via Amazon. I wanted to love this mask, and I've read all the positive reviews. For me, these straps were extremely uncomfortable. They hurt my ears, and unfortunately, I don't think I'd like the other version because the strap is just simple elastic. Nothing soft about that. Also, the eye cups were supposed to be made in such a way that you can blink. Not true for me. I can't imagine a reviewer saying that he/she forgot it was on because it annoyed me to death. I'm giving 2 stars on the chance that I just have an odd head. But this mask is stowed away in a cabinet.

Not for side sleepers; otherwise great
- Updated from 3 to 4 stars because their customer service reached out to me about my review below, and they were genuinely super nice and helpful. Always nice to see a company with really wonderful customer support. This would be perfect, and I mean perfect, if there weren't a highly obtrusive seam running across the midpoint of the eye. (Or if you are someone who only, ever, sleeps on their back.) The rest of the fabric is smooth and cool against the skin. The double straps relieve tension pressure while holding the mask on securely. The nose baffle is secure, the eye cups a good comfortable depth. And YET. If I lay on my side, the cup naturally presses against my face- it's just fabric, after all. And then the seam presses against my eye. It's tolerable (for me) to sleep with, but when I wake up I have an indentation on my lid that takes hours to go away and it blurs my vision. The mask cannot be adjusted so that the seam rests above the eyeball while also still blocking light. Awfully disappointed in this major design flaw. Keeping it for plane travel but can't wear it at night.I recommend trying the company's flat product (still with two straps and nose baffle, just no eye cups - and those no seam) instead if you're a side sleeper.

Great Mask and Excellent Customer Service
Love the contoured mask! This mask is different than the others on the market in a good way. I have had quite a few eye masks and this one is by far my favorite. This contoured mask doesn’t rub against my eyes and it makes me feel like my eye care products stay put on my eyes. The straps are adjustable instead of elastic or Velcro. I had a slip silk sleeping mask but I hated the elastic strap, it was so uncomfortable that I could not leave it on for more than a min. For some reason there aren’t many masks with adjustable strap at least I was not able to find any than from this company. This contoured mask is pretty big, thus, it covers my face well and block out the light well. I know this mask will last a long time because I had a regular one strap mask from this company for a long time but I lost it during a recent move. The regular mask I had stayed in shape till the day I lost it. It was soft and comfortable even it was not contoured (tho I wish I had the contoured mask then). If you have any question, ask the seller. They have excellent customer service. I had question about my contoured mask and actually had contacted them about their other products before and both times, they responded promptly and were very helpful. They also gave me great tip on the best way to wear the mask.

Great customer service, needs better contoured eye cups
I had a two-strap Alaska Bear mask for about a year, and I absolutely loved it. The silk feels great against your face, and the baffle keeps the light out from the nose bridge. I thought I would upgrade to the contoured cup version, and it's kind of... meh. The contour seems to be created by two pieces of stiff fabric sewed together so that they bow. If you position things just right you can get it to work, but at that point just order the uncontoured mask. Or switch to a brand that uses a more rigid cup design.UPDATE: Alaska Bear reached out to me and asked if they could send me an updated design. The newer model seals out light much better, but the eye cups still don't work. I would still recommend the flat version, but I'm very impressed with their customer service!

Good quality for the price.
I imagine this mask might last a year or so without much wear and tear, unlike other sleep masks of this price. It let no light in and was comfortable...except on my eyelashes. It brushed up against them a fair bit and takes some adjusting and pulling to get it to sit at a comfortable angle. Also, I'm not sure if it's because I'm bald or not, but having two straps didn't keep it from falling off of my face in the middle of the night. It stayed on a little longer than the others tend to. I only need the light blockage to -get- to sleep--not to -stay- asleep--so it wasn't much of a problem for me.Other than that, very comfortable material!

Doesn't come off all night!
It's the most comfortable of three sleep masks I've tried because there is no pressure on my eyes and the straps work without squeezing my head.I managed to get the straps set up so they are "loose" when the mask is in a normal position yet keep the thing from coming off at night. Basically, the top strap kicks in if it slides too far down and the bottom strap starts to pull taught if it slides too far up. This mask has me convinced that two straps are better than one.I've been using it for three weeks and it has stayed on all night 100% of the time with 0 comfort issues. Silk is just objectively the best material for sleep masks since it's super soft, breathable, light, and antimicrobial.Note that it lets in a sliver of light around the nose, which makes it harder to fall asleep in broad daylight. I wasn't looking for a blackout mask so I don't mind, but you might. Also I have a big nose so your mileage may vary.

Super soft
I’ve used quite a few sleep masks and unfortunately this one didn’t suit me. I found that between my own face shape, and that of the mask, I was able to see through gaps. Not necessarily the products fault, just not for me. It was super soft though which was lovely!

Best eye mask yet
Feels warmer on my face than my previous silk mask but still, the best eye mask I’ve used. Very comfortable and blocks ALL light.

Okay
Good product. The only downside so far is that the straps are really large and do hurt my ears.
