Really good tool. Worth every penny
This tool is brilliant. This thing is sooo small and short which is fantastic for brake jobs and suspension. Decent power and has a Really nice grip on the handle too feels like a snap on tool. Any mechanics looking for a stubby impact, i defo reccommend this one.One small negative may be that the reverse and forward switch might get in the way of your fingers a little bit. Doesn't really bother me though. Great stuff!Raheem

One of the best impact guns IV used
I have used snap on for a while now but thought I'd try a stubby impact gun , bought this a few month ago and I think it is well worth the money tested against my friends Mac stubby impact gun at work on a bolt his Mac gun could not un do and this did the job easy , highly recommend this

Going straight to the bin!
Awful gun. Trigger either dumps air out or actually works. seems pretty random. Whoever decided to put the direction selector and force dial just behind the trigger made a mistake. It is so easy to change the settings when using the gun.It is compact and light however. Its not a quite as i hoped when it does work but it is a little less noisey than my Clarke pro but not much.I can't recommend this gun however. We have used it for about 3 weeks now and it barely does the job. The trigger is too temperamental as to if its going to work or not and my employees are constantly complaining about accidentally changing the gun settings while using it. It is remarkably easy to suddenly change rotation directions just by a slight movement of your hand.

POWERFUL and small impact!
I have only just gotten the wrench, but this is my second aircat tool (I bought an 802 ratchet previous - I was attracted to the size, power and operating noise level). There seems to have been some excess stock at Amazon & amazon was offering coupons on some aircat impacts - this one had a $20 off coupon & the 1076 had a 15% off coupon. They were going for $90 and $115 respectively so I figured going with the 1055-TH for $70 was the way to go.So this impact is rated at 500 lb/ft by the manufacturer, which would have been enough for me - I just wanted something with at least 450, but there is one or more reviews online comparing compact impacts and this bad boy put down an average of 617 lb/ft over three runs. And I can believe it!I needed the wrench to pull off some axle bolts (the car was already in the air and I didn’t want to re-assemble everything so I could lower it to get the wheels to touch & getting someone to step on the brake would be a hassle. So I got this fella! The bolts were recently installed to factory spec: 147 lb/ft followed by an additional 180 degree turn (they are pinch bolts that come from the factory with some thread locker on them). This guy took them off no problem what so ever!I just gave it a few drops of marvel tool oil, attached a Milton v-type fitting and let her rip!The pressure at the regulator was about 105 psi & I was using a pretty long 3/8” hose (I think 50 feet). For those that say it doesn’t have enough power you need to understand that when they say 90 psi max they mean at the inlet on the tool while the tool is running. To get an idea as to how much pressure you have in your system just rig up a quick T fitting with a pressure gauge. Once air starts moving there is a big pressure drop. Also use v type fittings when possible, they are much much larger (and you really want to replace all the fittings with them....I still haven’t changed the adapter on my compressor yet, but am not in as much of a hurry on that one since my main regulator is after it).If it’s not working the way it should then try giving it a squirt of Kano kroil (as I understand giving the tool some of this after every use helps a lot - it’s not a full purpose lube so cant be the only thing used, but helps free things up and keep corrosion down). The unit itself is nice and small. Very light as well compared to what I’m used to. The trigger does seem like the weakest link & there is a bit of play in the beginning, but I didn’t notice that until I remembered to look for it. The direction and power adjustment is on both sides so good for both right and left handed people. However the trigger itself is good once it gets engaged, same as with the air ratchet (although that had no play). You can get air to just trickle through quite easily. Setting 1 does seem to be a little underpowered, not sure if I will use that at all, but hopefully that means that 2 is somewhere in between rather than just slightly less grunt than full power. As others have mentioned the paint on the main body is susceptible to knicking (I’ve only had unfinished impacts before) - if this matters to you I would suggest getting a cover. I may.As I’ve said before it’s very light and fits in my hand very comfortably. It’s small and seems to be able to fit into spaces I would never have imagined putting an impact. Looks like I can finally take off my brake caliper carriers with ease! So, all in all awesome tool! Definitely worth the money for me - pulled off a bolt with easily over 200 pounds applied to it in less than 5 seconds.Would buy again!

Amazing! So powerful and small
Amazing! So powerful and small. Really good for front end Work!! I do wish I was able to find a protective sleeve for it. The paint is wearing off.

Love it. Grab it first.
I use it professionally and have beaten on it every day for several months now. No complaints. It is very powerful for such a small sized gun and I prefer it and grab it first because it is small, light and quiet. It is good for most things. It may not remove a lug on occasion, or a really tough fastener on the end of a 2' extension, but for most everything you will do with it the Aircat is more than adequate. It is far more powerful than I expected, easily beating the big 1/2 guns of yesterday. Especially the cheap ones. The ergonomic effects, access and relative low noise level are the best features. I pair mine with a Rand Titanium (Which I think I gave about $450 for) for the really tough stuff, and seldom have to grab the Rand, but it does happen. I mean, don't fool yourself. It won't compete with a wrench that has 1000ft lbs of breakaway torque, like the Rand.. But you won't miss hefting the giant Rand wrench for hours at a time, either. The trigger and power setting looks rinkey-dink, but it seems fine in practice. If you know tools and are familiar with them generally and you buy this gun you will be completely satisfied with it in every way. It will be the first 1/2" impact you pick up. You will be amazed how having a small chassis gun opens a job up and reduces the need to grab swivels and hand tools. The Aircat will quickly become one of your favorite air tools.

Great gun!
Good power, great fit in hand and lasts a long time. Just wish parts to rebuild it/ repair it was still available as I already bought exact same one years ago and fell in love with it.
