Already own Star Realms and some add on packs and love that game. This fantasy themed version of the Star realms game engine, takes it up a level. If you like fantasy based settings card games and like the star realms game play then buy this NOW!I have already bought the Fighter Wizard and Ranger add on character decks and they really add extra to the game. The 10 or so play through s with the base set are tricky too win if your starting cards are not falling for you. However with the Character packs it gives a bit more edge to your play if you like a certain character.The add on packs are definitely not needed to really enjoy the game but they add to an already excellent well balanced deck building game.Love this me and my 12 year old son have played it regularly since its been bought. Star realms is getting a bit of dust since we bought it. But it will be back no doubt.5 stars easy would give more if I could.

This game was an instant hit in our house. Generally, we are picky with games but this was extremely easy to learn and quick to play. Due to its size it is extremely portable and the short nature of the game averaging around 15 mins per round means you can fit it in anytime.The art is great, the box is perfectly sized to fit the cards and accommodates any additional characters pack you may want to purchase. We have since bought the wizard and ranger characters packs and they were a great addition. Star realms are made by the same publisher and depending on your interest in fantasy or space will decide which way you go. I have found this to be better balanced even though my wife seems to always win. I would recommend this for anyone new to board games.

This has become one of my favourite games, as it is close to the "easy to learn, hard to master" sweet spot. That means that it's easier to find people to play with than for more complex games, but you can enjoy some really varied gameplay and strategies. One recommendation - use one of the many score-keeping apps you can get for your mobile phone rather than the supplied scoring cards, which are the only weak point in the design of the game. Thoroughly recommended to anyone interested in board/card games.

I bought this as an alternative to Star Realms Frontier, which we found to be a surprise hit.This game is very similar, but feels different enough owing to the larger values of attack and healing.It's easy to learn, and quick and addictive to play.It would be 5 stars but..... you should be aware that the box art and 3 cards have changed to include the faces of real kickstarter backers (I think!). While two of the cards look great, and are possibly better than their originals, the Rayla card (artwork front and centre on the box) is a bit jarring and in my opinion not as good as the original artwork. Not really a big problem, but worth being aware of to avoid initial disappointment when it arrives.

This one's from the same guys who designed and published the ultra popular deck building game "Star Realms". It shares a common game mechanic but with subtle twists in order to accommodate a fantasy setting. The card art is impeccable and the quality very decent linen finish. If you intend to really give this game a tough workout you may want to consider buying good quality transparent sleeves, something like Dragon Shields. Also particularly liked the scoring cards that came with this game as I find them by far more practical to use than those which come with Star Realms.

Very easy to learn - enjoyed playing it with three generations. It’s not particularly sword and sorcery if that puts you off

Awesome game, wish there was more cards for it. Got some expansions but would rather have just more cards, different ones

Fun game, easy to pick up. Have found that the person who plays first wins a majority of the time and that in about 20% of the games neither of the players get a 'satisfactory' win / loss.Same with any card game though, only played about 20 rounds so far, so by no means an expert.
