Plum Colobus Wooden Garden Double Swing & Glider Set

Really high-quality materials - the top is essentially a large tree-trunk! All tanalized with the green staining and long cracks, but that's how it is supposed to be to survive outdoor weather. Quite a job to put together (you need a socket set and a lot of space to lay out the parts) - probably about 3-hrs work in all. We've no anchored it in concrete, just in the lawn which seems fine. Make sure you splay the legs out as far as they will go when building it to give a wide base, otherwise you get lots of lateral movement.

The swing assembly is not complete, the cross pole has not arrived yet although the four posts and swings arrived over a week ago!

This is an excellent swing. It's well engineered and sturdy and even after a lot of use and exposure to the elements, it's still as good as new. Construction is pretty straightforward if you have some basic DIY expertise (the wooden poles have no pre-drilled holes so you need to drill and mount all the fixings). Like many swings, the instructions said that it should be attached to fixings mounted in buried blocks of concrete. We didn't want to do that, so instead bought some long corkscrew-type ground anchors specifically for holding swings down and bolted it to them. Once assembled the swing feels sturdy and there's no movement even when all 3 swings are in use.

Product is great, grandchildren are loving it, delivery however was a bit of a nightmare, the structure came on day stated with no problem, the fixing and seats however took 3 days extra with numerous texts and tracking, yodel said they had tried to deliver twice, but as we were here both days and have cctv we know this is not the case, the swing is up and running, but this could have been easier with a different delivery company

It took me a few hours to build this and fix it in the ground, but I managed it single-handed. All the parts were present, and it went together pretty easily. The main crossbar has a slight bend in it, but it's too minor to worry about, and isn't even noticeable now that it's erected. A socket set is required in order to tighten some of the recessed bolts, in addition to a set of spanners.The one thing I departed from the instructions on is the ground fixing. The swing comes with four metal bars, that are meant to be set in concrete then screwed to the base of each leg. However, there is no indication of how you are supposed to get the bars in exactly the right positions, without also having the swing sitting in the wet concrete. As our soil is extremely loose, I took a different approach and bought four metre-long twisted restraint straps, which I hammered into the ground at an angle, like tent pegs, before screwing to the legs.Most importantly, my three-year-old twins, and their friends, love it! The glider is a particular hit, with the only argument being who gets to face down the garden and who has to look at the bushes. They love the fact that they can keep the glider moving without any significant effort, whereas they still have to concentrate a bit more in the swings. They didn't come off it for over two hours on their first go! I was pleased to find that the glider also works with just one child on it.I highly recommend this swing.

The product was delivered qui let than the quoted dates at order stage . The swing set instructions were clear and concise and all parts were found to be of good quality . A well worth purchase

good received in very short period however I did not assemble the product yet because other work need to be done in the garden first. I will come back to the review page once I used this item to pass a fair comment to other customer
