I bought the set of two (different sizes) but was a bit concerned that they might be too large for our 10 pound cat. Not only was that concern misplaced but they are perfect for a cat. Also the slip of paper in it can fit a surprising amount of information on it. As an alternative, you can make up your own label in your texts editor and then set the font very small and print it out. Our cat is strictly and indoor cat but we're taking her on a very long roadtrip so we are doing everything we can to prevent her from getting lose and, in the event that she does, she can be identified and we can be contacted. She's never been out and she only knows my wife and me so she would probably panic if she got out for the first time in her life. This helps insure that we will get her back if she does. She's been chipped too and we will note that on the slip of paper. Anyway, if you are concerned that these may be too big for your cat, don't worry about it. In fact, almost any cat could use an even larger one but these are fine.

I recently traveled overseas with my animals. At the last minute, I realized that I don't have ID tags for them. With no time to get them made up, I found these capsules. I ordered two sets. I used one of the larger capsules for my dog and the two smaller capsules for my cats.Inside is a tiny scroll of paper where you can fill in basic information about you/your pet. I also used the back side to add email addresses for my husband and I. Rolled the paper back up, stuck it inside and screwed the two sides back together. If my information changes, I can just cut some paper to fit and make new ones.My dog still has his on his collar. It is sturdy enough that my husband unintentionally attached the least to the ring and it held. I haven't tested it's water-proof claims. I don't really see a need for it to be water-proof. It has not rusted or anything, so that works for me.These would probably also work on a keychain for us humans ... IF people knew that there is information inside of them.

A tip for those of you that find the bottom comes unscrewed, and to improve the water-tightness of the seal: put a tiny bead of sticky-tack on the threads before screwing the pieces together.

Let me start by saying that I prefer the engraved discs rather than the capsule ID but as we're moving to another country and taking our moggies with us this seemed to be a good alternative for the plane journey because who wants a disc engraved when you don't know your new phone # yet and the airlines insist on ID. Isn't it enough that we have to pay a small fortune, haven't our cats seen that film where valiant animals walk hundreds of miles to home? Anyway take out the small piece of paper provided. print up your details so they'll be legible and you'll be fine. The capsules come in a pack of 2, 1 large and 1 small so the smaller one is great for the kitten. Worth the money.

I already had a similar dog tag capsule, purchasing these to provide for additional dogs. Love this product so much more than what I already had!These capsules allow you to attach identity and contact info to your dog without listening to jangling tags! I didn’t use the slip of paper which came with them, instead printed data out, cut it to size and enclosed.Love it!

I really like the idea of these as you can update information if you move or change numbers etc. BUT, the capsules unscrewed themselves. We would suddenly discover that the bottom half (which contains the contact info) was missing.

Small garbage- would not buy again.

It’s a neat little compartment, but it came apart & the bottom part got lost, which is useless as a dog tag. Maybe my dog shook it loose or I didn’t tighten it enough?
