6kg Dry Powder Fire Extinguisher - ABC - FireShield

This extinguisher arrived exactly as I had hoped. It arrived quicker than estimated, so I was happy with that service. It was packaged well enough to ensure it arrived in a good condition. The nozzle and handle was protected with extra packaging. I was pleased to see it was dated Sep 2019 for its manufacturing date. I ordered it at the end of September. So they consistently supply recently made) The wall bracket it came with is the type that can be bolted onto the wall. It seems strong and secure. The dial is prominent and clear at the front to allow for easy monitoring. I chose this extinguisher for my upstairs. It is suitable for most eventualities I can think of. The pin which goes through the handle to prevent accidentally discharging it is simple for an adult to operate. It's a good design. It is secure enough in there to not fall out inadvertently and to put off children from trying to tug on it. It is also attached to the extinguisher itself so that you don't loose the pin when it comes to refilling it. The price was the cheapest I could find on Amazon and local shops at the time of my purchase.

Good size unit and provides comfort and safety for the office

These extinguishers arrived very quickly. Well packed and exactly what I wanted and expected. My experience of the FireProtectionShop is excellent. The extinguishers were as expected. I ordered the 6kg rather than the 4kg as the price difference was minimal and I thought it was better to have too much powder in an emergency rather than too little. They are quite heavy but easily handled. They are fully kite marked and appear to be really good quality but, of course, that won't be proven unless used in "anger" which I sincerely hope will never happen! It is very reassuring to have these extinguishers in place, around the house.

Excellent price. Good piece of mind knowing that this is in the house should the worst happen. Keep it in the cupboard outside our bedroom at the top of the stairs. Having used a 2kg powder fire extinguisher previously at work, I found it quickly ran out. For the price compared to 1 and 2kg extinguishers, this was a great deal. Just be mindful it can be heavy to hold. Overall I highly recommend.

I have unfortunatly been involved in a couple of small fires. This extinguisher is big enough for quite substantial fires. Obviously dependent on circumstances. I feel very reasured to have this handy. It is well made and good quality.

Hopefully I won't have to use it, but it looks man enough to tackle a medium sized fire. I intend to site it outside my log cabin but the instructions advise that it is installed in a suitable box or cover if it is sited in an outside environment.
