Sony Xperia Z Ultra LTE C6806 - Unlocked (White)

I have been using this phone for a week or so now. I have really come to love phablets. They are a little unwieldy, and if I spent alot of time making voice calls, I surely wouldn't want one. But as I use it mostly for email, browsing, apps, and messaging, having a giant screen is so much more fulfilling than a 4" screen ever could be. For those few phone calls, I bought an nfc headset to go with it. Aside from the size, the image is superb. And the phone runs pretty smooth. My only con, and the reason for losing a star, is that the touchscreen sometimes requires an extra tap (tap doesn't register) And sometimes, it interprets a swipe as a tap. This can get annoying as it happens to me daily. And maybe that isn't the phone's fault. Maybe it's just my fingers. Or maybe it's the particular app. But it does happen to me on this phone, though, where it didn't on other phones. But I can live with it in light of all the other great features that iOS just doesn't give me (yet). And I can live with the slight inconvenience of holding it carefully (in order to avoid dropping it) since I don't have to carry an ipad around anymore.

Caught a great deal on a "used -- like new" phone from a third-party seller. Phone was in brand-new condition with the original protective wrap still around the phone. I use the phone with T-Mobile LTE and in my area I am getting speeds of 25Mb - 30Mb download -- very nice. Screen is bright and Sony's software does not interfere with the Android experience to the degree that skins like TouchWiz are notorious for.A star is deducted for two reasons -- first and foremost, there is a problem with both Netflix and Amazon Prime video playback in which the video and audio are out of sync by about a second. It's jarring enough to make watching movies on this thing a non-starter. Strangely, high-def playback from YouTube works fine. The second reason I deducted a star is that the battery is only 3000mA - for my light use, it lasts almost a full day, but if Sony had made the phablet just a little thicker, I think they could have made the battery last almost two days -- using a battery like the 3950mA used in the Huawei Ascend Mate 2.

I'm only giving it 4 stars cause of the camera :-( there is no flash! As big as this phone is they just had to get rid of the flash for the camera, so don't plan on taking photos at night and that is the only down fall.this is the 3rd one I had cause there is nothing else better out there on the market. It is definitely a conversation starter for how big this phone is. If your tired of looking around and seeing everyone else in the building with the same phone as others, then it's time to stand out from all the followers. Great phone overall, the biggest, slimmest,water proof, full HD phone on the market

it is a large phone. be careful since you cannot really cary it arround in your pocket or tight pants or back pocket. I wear suits so it is easy to put in the chest pocket of the jacket.

This is really a PC in the pocket. It is nominally called a phone, but the 6.4inch screen allows you to use it as a home PC if you install a desktop PC full operating system on it, which is what I do. There are instructions on the internet about how to install fedora on it and still preserve the phone feature interface. I have been using the near 7 inch phone as my laptop home PC for a year.

Love it... Best value for an unlocked phone. People do look at you even more then when I had my NOTE 2.Compatibility with some android apps vary. And it's running a stock sony OS. But If your love the internet this is the way to go.Pictures and everything else is great in between. I do plan on getting the Samsung Gear S though to alleviate the process of taking this phone out of my pocket.

It's wonderful in size, but it has no flash light for the camera and no message signature. The screen isn't the full length of the phone. I thought it would out beat the Samsung mega but it did not. So I decided to buy the mega next week.

Very poor quality phone in less than two months the phone started to over heat , when I made calls, charged it or placed it down, Amazon, Sony, Google and This seller all washed there hands from the unit and told me I was out of luck. I would never buy from this seller again, and I would never buy any Sony phone. I replace the phone with the Nexus 6 and haven't looked back.
