Apalus Hair Straightening Brush, Ceramic Hair Straightener, Straight Hair Styling (PINK)

took a little while to get used to, but great value for money. I turn my head upside down and use it, and It helps with areas that usually have kinks left in when using a straightener. Also much much quicker to use than a straightener. Recommended to pre-brush hair with a detangler though, speeds up the process a lot!

I was asked by the vendor, Apalus, to test this straightening brush and I was very happy to do it, not because my hair needs straightening as such because I have straight hair but because my hair is rather lifeless, so I wanted to know whether such a brush would maybe give it more volume and make it look more beautiful! And yes, it did, as you can see on the photos.This brush arrived very well packaged and in the box there was the brush itself, a pouch to store it in, two hair pins which became incredibly handy (I have others but these ones seemed to keep my hair better in place), a glove to protect your hand and an instruction manual to teach you the basics about this product (the use is really simple but I always like to read the instructions from the manufacturer).The brush should be used on dry hair. This is not one of those brushes you can use to dry your hair but for me that is not a problem as I often let my hair dry in the hair or else use a hair dryer. Once your hair is dry you can start to style it. I divided my hair in several sections and went over each part slowly at a temperature of 180ºC as my hair is rather thin and I don't want to damage it but you can choose a higher temperature. It didn't take long for my hair to look bouncy and shiny. Note that the temperature locks itself after 5 seconds, which is very handy because you don't want to risk changing it by mistake. If you want to change it you click twice on the on/off switch button and you can then go up or down using the other two buttons. You can see the correct temperature in the little window.The head of the brush is made in a way as not to damage your hair. I find that very important because my hair is not in the best condition so I don't want it damaged any further! If you look closely at the head of the brush you see that a lot of thought went into it. The maximum temperature is 230ºC and I found that the brush heats up really fast, which is good because you don't want to wait around for ages until you can do your hair. I ended up not using the protection glove as I didn't choose a very high temperature but I think that it is a great thing that they do add one because one doesn't want to end up with a scorched hand and of course there will be people who will go for much higher temperatures! You can have the temperature also in Fahrenheit, if you wish!Due to the longer ceramic plates you can straighten your hair from the roots down. That is not my case as I didn't use it to straighten my hair but it does give more volume if you have fine hair like me! This brush sits well in the hand and has a pretty colour so all in all I am very happy with this product!

It's alright, not a miracle worker. I have curly hair, so after a shower and I use it, it makes my hair go all frizzy, and it looks like I have an afro. Have to use it after straightening my hair with a hairdryer, (which kind of defeats the purpose) and even then it doesn't stop my hair from curling up. The button to turn the brush off doesn't work, so I always have to turn it off at the wall first. The buttons to control the temperature aren't great but for the price, get it if you have wavy or almost straight hair.

unfortunately I had to return this item as it took forever to reach the required temperature, I had to sit and press the '+' button for over 5mins.it was easy to use but did not straighten my hair as I would have liked, and after a short of period of time my hair returned to being a curly mess.

Great product, straightens my frizzy wavy hair well and easily leaving it nice and smooth, not quite poker straight like it would be with straighteners but I feel that this is certainly less damaging to my hair. You can select the temperature you wish to use, the maximum is 230c. It came with a heat resistant glove which is also good, and 2 clips to hold sections of hair up, tho I have not needed to use these, as you don't really need to split your hair into sections. It also comes with a nice bag for the brush. I would definitely recommend this product if you are looking for a good straightening brush.

This brush was everything I expected and more.It heats up fast and straightens my hair fairly quickly too - in about 10 minutes. I have a brazilian blow dry, however.It won't straighten your hair like an iron would do, but I find it much better this way, because it looks more natural and has more volume. It will be straight though, don't worry! It just won't be flat!When I bought it, the price was ridiculously cheap - 10£ - and it's the best investment I ever made.It's also easier to use than an iron.Another plus - you get several emails from the sellers, which shows their commitment to the product.I'm leaving this review only because I was impressed by the last email from them and thought they should be rewarded.

Very heavy to use. I have thick hair, yet this hurts my scalp when I use it. Perhaps I'm using it wrong!

the product reviews were good,my wife wanted something to straighten her hair which was not as fierce as straighteners as they dry out the hair and wanted to use this brush on a weekend when not in work.Trans action was easy delivery and packaging were good,emails from company re usage were a bonus but unforunately my wife did not get on with the item she spent a lot of time for little end product.I see from general reviews that different hair types have an effect on the products capability so maybe this was a factor
