Loved it
Kylie is the queen of the insta-love trope. This book was so sweet. I loved the connection of not only Maddie and Theo but also how sweet Theo was to Maddie's sister Lilah. I can not say enough about this book. It really was an amazing read. Its short, mafia, insta-love and of course a happy ending. Maddie is so strong. She is working 2 jobs to take care of her sister who has kidney failure. She bumps into Theo and from there he stalks her waiting to make his move. She has an amazing best friend and loves her family with all her heart. She resists Theo at first but when he saves her from a fate she knew nothing about she moves in with him and she allows herself to fall in love with him. Theo is possessive of not only Maddie but also her sister Lilah. It was so incredibly sweet. He is the oldest son of T and Holly from the Valentino series. He is the heir of the Valentino empire and he is proud of that. When Theo meets Maddie for the first time she bumps into him and spills his coffee. He knows in an instant that he wants her. He stalks her for a little bit but then makes his move and after saving Maddie and she finally allows herself to open up to him they are able to be together.

fast paced perfection.
I LOVED this book. I like it when they jump right into the story. These boys are fire. I love how fiercely protective they are of everyone in their family and their women.

Hot, spicy, and sweet!
Kylie Kent can do no wrong! Another amazing read from her!The story had many great twists and turns and a lot of surprises that kept me hooked from start to finish. There were also some very humorous moments throughout the book which will definitely leave you laughing. What I love most about Theo Valentino is his big heart and his unwavering loyalty to his family. He is definitely an Alpha, but he falls hard and fast for Maddie and does all he can to protect her and make her happy. Maddie is a strong and independent woman who also has a lot of heart and can't help but challenge Theo at every turn, it was great seeing them come together and face the challenges of their past. I highly recommend this book anyone looking for a romantic and exciting read. I can't wait to see what happens with Mateo, Romeo, and Luca!

An interesting Mafia book
There’s a lot of twists and turns in this book. You think it’s going one way and then another character is brought in and you’re left guessing on what’s going on.Maddie is a waitress and also a bartender. She is responsible for her younger sister who also has kidney disease as her -stents died in a car accident when she was in college. She constantly feels like she is drowning in responsibility and debt. But when she’s rushing to work and spills a cup of coffee on a man, this might just be an unanswered prayer.Theo just got his cup of coffee dumped on him, but he may have also met the woman of his dreams. He learns more about her by having her watched, discreetly. He knows she lives in a sketchy area of Brooklyn, that she is responsible for a little sister, and that she is adamant about not wanting to date him as she thinks he’s a stalker. Which, fair based on the way he has behaved to that point. What she doesn’t realize is that he is in the mafia and is the second in command after his dad. Would she still be interested if her and her sister’s life could be in jeopardy just by knowing him? There’s a lot to the story where there are just facts dropped in without any follow up. Like, we learn more about Maddie‘s parents, but that thread doesn’t really go anywhere. We learned that there is a possible connection between Maddie‘s mom and Theo‘s parents, but that thread is also not discussed much. There’s just a lot to dig through and figure out if this is important to remember or if this is just a throwaway thought. Perhaps it’ll be brought up again in future books, but I don’t expect to continue reading this series to know for sure if that is the case. This is also not really a happily ever after. I don’t want to give away why I think that, but I would consider this more a happily for now as there still seems to be a sense of waiting for the other shoe to drop.

Enjoying the first look at the sons...
Theo Jr. and Maddie are adorable. When the Valentino men fall, they fall hard.Maddie is a fighter and will do anything for her sister, Lilah, with kidney failure and dialysis 3 times a week. She works long hours between 2 jobs. The first is at a coffee shop, where she first meets...well, runs into Theo, the MMC. The infatuation is instant for Theo and thus begins the light stalking to learn more about Maddie. He quickly realizes through a literal slap in the face that Maddie is not the hit-it-and-quit it type of girl.Lilah gets sick and ends up in the hospital. Thanks to those outrageous bills, Maddie fings herself needed a 3rd job. She unintentionally gets thrown into a bidding situation, and Theo jumps in to save the day....by potentially starting a war by killing 3 members of another Mafia family. Quickly moving Maddie and Lilah in his penthouse for safety was his only option. After a brief tense moment that ended with Theo getting shot by the Russians, the book had a wonderfully happy ending. I am leaving a certain plot point out because I don't want to add any spoilers. But it was a good little twist involving multiple families.Overall, I enjoyed the book. I like that Maddie didn't fall straight away and held her ground. It was a light mafia, not as detailed and drama heavy as Theo and Holly's journey.
