BW Quick Rapid Camera Shoulder Single Neck Sling Black Belt Strap for SLR DSLR (Single Shoulder Strap)

If you have ever experienced carrying a heavy DSLR using the usual supplied neck strap you will appreciate how uncomfortable it can be to carry around your neck for any period of time. Add to the fact that you look like some amateur! I've been through many types of straps. Broad straps, neoprene straps, leather straps and may inbetween but never quite found one that suits my shooting needs. There is am American company who produced the first generation of this kind of "over the shoulder" rapid strap device and this appears to be a very good clone of the first generation of that strap with the added modification of a mounting plate rather than a mounting screw. Now I have read some horror stories about this particular strap. Buckle failures, clip failures and loss of the mounting screw. If you examine the strap very carefully and pay attention to how the buckle should be fastened and adjusted I guarantee it will not come undone. I've tested this with my body weight hanging on it and it does not slip at all.What you should be aware of is the way it is supplied. look at my attached images and you will see the top locking clasp (which sets the height at which the camera will slide up the strap) closes over the loose end of the strap adjustment. If you move this top clasp down as suggested to lock the camera in position during walking then the loose end of the strap has no friction locking AND WILL SLIDE OUT CAUSING YOUR CAMERA TO CRASH TO THE FLOOR! If you look at the method of returning this free end back through the buckle it provides double surface friction locking and will not slip! The carabiner clip must be screwed all the way forward to lock the release arm otherwise the clip may undo, however it would take some strange motion to release the carabiner from the base plate. I think the issues mentioned are probably user error and not manufacturing/design issues. On the padded shoulder strap is a small zipped pocket suitable for memory cards but I don't recommend trying to insert a spare battery in there. The upper and lower clamps can be adjusted to give the lowest point to which the camera will hang down and the upper height to which it can be raised. In use it is very comfortable to wear, even for extended periods. I would say it is more suited to studio work or location work where you constantly would be putting the camera down to adjust lights, direct models etc., rather than on say a trekking trip as the camera still has a tendency to bounce against your hips and could become uncomfortable after a while. You could attach a quick release tripod plate to this as well if you wanted to shoot on and off camera but in this case I would probably remove the existing fixing screw and replace the quick release plate screw with a longer one so that you have only 1 plate on the camera base.

I often use a tripod and have found that the wind will catch the supplied should strap that came with the camera. This can affect the results so I've decided to try a shoulder sling that can be quickly disconnected. This looked like a nice shoulder harness to fit the bill.The small carabineer is a little fiddly to fit when you remove it, but appears to be secure when in place.I had a problem with the plate when used in conjunction with my quick release tripods. As a result I've had to adjust the part with the eyelet part so that it is at a 45° angle, not the 90° angle it initially has. I did worry about this and initially only did the one plate (I've bought two of these) to ensure that I hadn't weakened the plate badly.It now fits Ok, so long as the eyelet is not over the quick-release clip.The strap is comfortable. Do take a little time to adjust it though. I have two different cameras that I'm using these for and by adjusting the straps each camera is comfortable when walking. It can be a little difficult if both are over my should at the same time though.A memory card will fit snugly in the pocket in the should pad, but not a spare battery. Yes a camera battery will just fit, but it's not comfortable and may stress the pocket, shortening its life a little. Four spare AA batteries should fit just fine though, if this is what your camera takes.I also have long hair that does periodically get tangled in the camera's shoulder harness. The new shoulder slings didn't get tangled up in it, even when I used them at the same time.Overall I'm happy with the straps. Being able to quickly remove the shoulder strap for any tripod work is a real benefit for my camera work. I couldn't give them 5 stars as I had to adjust the plates for the quick release fittings on my tripods.

Amazing!! I'm only at the beginning of my Photography/Videography Career and I have been gathering all the essential pieces of kit that make the job a lot easier. This thing is essential to my kit and I love it!! It feels safe, secure, comfortable, and practical in every way. The fittings to me feel and look reliable and solid. It has given me the freedom to run about Photo/Video Shoots and get in all sorts of positions to get the shot without worrying that I might drop my beloved Sony A6300. The strap allows the camera to hang low or be strapped up high. It's ridiculously easy to use. It looks and feels pretty cool. It's comfortable on your shoulder. It's a perfect product for me. At this price bracket I can't imagine anyone who wouldn't be thrilled with it.

The strap could be better made as a few report it coming adrift causing cameras to drop to the floor. I have strengthened the strap to avoid this before use making it a safe and cheap strap as I require.

Not very good at all.Main points are; Mount to camera is a nice idea but weak. Strap is poor and shiny nylon.Mount screws in to the tripod thread on the bottom of the camera but due to the shape of the plate and the location of the strap mount what happens it the weight of the camera helps to unscrew the mounting plate. Poor design leads it to be untrustworthy.Also the right angle shape means you can no longer put the camera flat on a surface...until the mouthing plate falls off.The strap is also very short and only works at maximum extension which makes it difficult to put over clothes or a jacket and gives very little room for manovuer.The small clip that attaches the strap to the mounting plate is not very good, making it fiddly and not very trustworthy.Avoid.

Der Gurt passt sehr gut, die Kameras lassen sich schnell und ohne das der Gurt verrutsch zum Kopf führen. Eins war mir allerdings sehr wichtig, ich benutze Schnellwechselplatten an meinen Kameras um verschiedene Stative schnellstmöglich bestücken zu können. Auf den Produktfotos konnte ich nur erahnen, das die Schrauben die zur Fixierung der Gurthalterungen dienen auch noch ein weiteres Gewinde haben. Top, es ist so, ich kann die Kameras mit den Gurtplatten am Gurt befestigen und trotzdem noch meine Schnellwechselplatte drunterschrauben. Diese trägt kaum auf. Sollte ich nun doch wieder ein Stativ nutzen wollen, so kann ich die Kamera mit dem Haken einfach abnehmen und aufs nächste Stativ setzen.Diese Möglichkeit bietet ein ziemlich ähnlich aussehendes Modell nicht, hier sind runde Schrauben verbaut worden. Klare Kaufempfehlung für dieses Modell hier !!!
