Bought this along with the Made for Amazon SanDisk recommendation in the sale page. Hooked it up to my 4K Max Firestick and then the fun started. The Firestick recognized the drive and asked me how I wanted it formatted. I formatted for App use. Moved my first app to the SanDisk and attempted to play from there. The app started and then locked up the Firestick completely. Had to unplug the Firestick to get it to reset, after that the USB drive was no longer seen by the Firestick. After unplugging the Firestick again and resetting the SanDisk again it again asked for the formatting choice. Formatted again for app use and moved an app to the drive. Tried to run the app and the same thing happened. Drive no longer recognized and I am tired of the constant resetting. Not sure if it is a Firestick issue, this device or the SanDisk but not worth the time or money.

I bought this product because our Firestick is constantly asking us to remove apps due to storage space. Honestly, we don’t use a ton of Apps and we don’t download any content. So, I was hopeful that this would be a solution to the problem. However, not many apps that we use could be added to the expandable memory. I feel like it was my fault for not reading the fine print. This was an “it’s 4 am and I can’t sleep” type of purchase- so, I didn’t give it a thorough read before I added it to my cart. However, the product is compact and it doesn’t have a ton of wires sticking out or hanging down from our TV- which is a definite plus. Oh, and since I’ve gotten it, the Firestick does not display those annoying warnings anymore that ask us to delete apps and free up space. So that is another plus. So, it’s a good product and I’m sure it works in some way to expand the memory, but it wasn’t what I thought I was buying and that’s on me.

This worked for expanding storage space on my firestick although all I used was the wires that came with it to connect to my firestick and thumb drive. Whenever i tried using the other included adapter piece, it gave me problems. Even with just the wire adapters it seems like the type of usb storage device can be a factor. Out of the two high speed usb drives i tried only one of them stayed connected. The other wouldn’t stay connected. Although it could also be the type of firestick i have that was causing issues. I currently have the most current version of the 4k uhd stick.

I purchased this because our Fire Stick was out of memory and we continuously experienced buffering. We were unable to download new apps, and we weren't even able to update current apps. I installed this handy little device, and we have since been able to enjoy several new apps and not have any of the issues that we had before. We love it!

This is a waste of money. It worked like a charm - for 2 WEEKS. Then we got the same message again, that there was no storage left.
