Can i fit an ei144 detector to an ei141 base ?

Yes, you can use the top to fit this base.

Can I change a ei144 heat detector for a 141smoke detector using the 144 base plate.

Yes, Absolutely. I interchanged mine the other way around. they fit perfectly. If you have any doubts call their technical line. they are really helpful. I hope this helps.

The heat detector goes off every time I open the oven. If i remove it, will the smoke detectors still work ok.

Hi. I'm thinking that the detector has a battery back up so should still function if you remove it from the ceiling. I'm also guessing you have a high level oven with the detector almost above it. Would it be possible for you to move the detector a couple of feet further away. It's hard wired so get a sparks in or take care. Good luck.

Evrrytime we cook it goes off have 3 off them then they all go off how can i stop this ?

They are linked. That's why they all go off. You can disconnect the third wire in the kitchen only and the rest of the house won't then alarm when the kitchen one does. However you should not have a smoke alarm in the kitchen anyway it should be a heat detector. If the property is rented it is a requirement that if one goes off then they all do
