Letter Box Cover with Brush & Flap for Internal OR External Use - Silver Finish

I received this letterbox and cannot fault anything about it whatsoever. Its a great letterbox and looks good BUT I made a mistake when I bought it to replace our one that had broken , or rather BEEN broken by a delivery driver trying to ram a parcel through and broke the flap off. My mistake was not ordering a letterbox for a UPVC front door so I got the two halves with the sleeve through the middle , as I thought I could simply put this one on the front and it was fixed. Luckily I knew someone who had mentioned they needed a new letterbox so I sold it to them and they're more than happy with it. Had I been able to use this letterbox on a UPVC door it would've looked so good and done what was required , but sadly the sleeve on the inside half of our letterbox stopped this one being flush against the door , so not the fault of the seller , totally my not considering what I actually needed , but if you have a normal wooden front door this letterbox would be the perfect replacement if yours is damaged/broken.

Actual item is good but the screws sent with it are, unfortunately, useless and soft. Use proper screws to fit the cover or you’re screwed.

I needed a letterbox that would be the correct dimensions and keep water out as our post goes through the wall down a chute and didn't want the wind and rain getting in. This meets the requirements. It keeps the weather and noise out and has a big opening. It was easy to install and looks like it will last. It has been fitted for several months and no problems to date. The opening size was important as Royal Mail need to be able to push the post down easily. I fitted it by using two screws in the holes provided and it feels like it is very secure. It doesn't move about at all.

Fits great, looks good and simple instructions with all fittings included. Tidys up the old door. Great value for money.

Really easy to fit, but literally first bit of post that came through and one brush fell out. Within a few days the other one has fallen out as well. Not what I expected from a branded product. Will be returning!

This letter box cover seems to be of good quality. The flap opens a full 180 degrees so it wont get broken when letters are delivered. It is a pity they do not make one that is longer.

Poor fitting of brushes. Virtually everyday now when post is pushed through one or the other brush is unlisted stopping the flat from stopping a draught Found out too late to return. Really poor quality manufacture

This letter box is given this rating because it's making and the material used is good. It comes with the complete accessory needed to install it. The screw length is average but a good value for money.

Excelente boca cartas. Lo he colocado en la pared con un recoge cartas en la parte interior y va estupendamente. Estéticamente es muy bonito y se ve de buena calidad. La tapa es de aluminio y el resto de plástico, tiene un muelle que mantiene cerrada la tapa y unos cepillos que yo he desmontado porque me parecían bastante duros. Compra recomendable cien por cien

I like everything about this product. Only from the UK could I find a letter box cover with draft (draught) brushes to block out wind. Thank you StormGuard! The brushes are substantial - they are snapped firmly in place and have not fallen out as some users have complained. I bought the Aluminum cover - model #06SR0310000A. Hint: If you want the Gold trim search for 06SR0310000G, likewise search Chrome trim with 06SR0310000CH. By the way, I bought all 3. The price is very fair. The quality is excellent. The measurements are true - External dimensions 293mm x 77mm (Internal Aperture 256mm x46mm). I've yet to receive the Gold and Chrome covers. However, since they have the same model numbers I expect measurements to be the same - in the description, measurements vary slightly. Also, the letter cover is made of metal and the body holding the brushes is made of a sturdy plastic material that should hold up over time - it is not cheap. I'll update once the other covers are received - to confirm measurements are the same. One last point, only 2 screws are included - so I'd recommend 2 more screws. There are 6 mounting holes for screws - 3 on each side. Update: 23 Sept 2022 I received the Chrome 06SR0310000CH and Gold 06SR0310000G letter brush covers. They are exactly the same in every respect (except color) as the Aluminum model 06SR0310000A and the dimensions are the same, though the Amazon descriptions state otherwise. External dimensions 293mm x 77mm (Internal Aperture 256mm x46mm). See attached picture. Hope this helps. Update: 15 February 2023 Holding up to the rigors of winter quite well - definitely stops the cold air that my old mail slot allowed. Older reviews seem somewhat negative. My guess is the product has been improved since negative reviews were posted.
