Does not fit router collet
Cant understand why this does not fit the router DRT50ZJX3 - I thought Makita bits would have fitted the router - obviously not knowing enough about it - will phone makita help line to make sure I don't make the same mistake and will return these

Superb bits - and yes they fit the DRT50 and RTO700 series routers!
Very impressed indeed - having been making do with cheap bits I cautiously purchased these - and they're amazing, really superb and effortless finish, I'm never putting up with cheap or rubbish bits again. They've sailed through all my initial test cuts effortlessly - seriously pleased Ive got these and they've gone straight into service. Value for money? Yeah, not cheap, but if they're eliminating all my frustration from the first moment, and producing the beautiful cuts they are, then they're worth every penny. And for people saying they don't fit their new DRT50 or RT0700 series routers - I can assure you they fit absolutely perfectly. On a new router the collet has likely been screwed all the way in, and is therefore partly 'closed'. Simply unscrew the usual large nut, drop the collet out and make sure the splines are open - it will fit perfectly. (If you doubt it and wish to confirm the fit, pop it in the 'other' end of the collet to test - it will fit perfectly as these routers have a perfect 1/4" fitting. I've attached a pic of one fitted to my DRT50 to show you.
