2nd purchase
My daughter has this exact set that was bought for her at the Girl Scout store. Both Wal-Mart and Girl Scouts wants $25 for this item. I saved $9 buying on Amazon. This is a great set. Works great for camping. I just wish it came with plastic silverware but I will add that too it. It is high quality and survives lots of use. Good size pans and great handle.

Good value. Will outlast you.
Good kit but the handle is a bit heavy.. don’t generally leave it attached while cooking. Pot needs to be pretty full to keep balanced on smaller or 3-arm stoves.

Exactly as Represented.
It's exactly as represented. Note that these are very small pans. If just for one, no problem. For example, you can make pasta and sauce with chicken chunks using the fry pan for small can of sauce and 4oz of chicken chunks and the pot for the pasta (handful of 4" angel hair). Anything more than that is making similar batches for each additional person. As for the kit itself, it's worth every penny. Very light for stainless steel, takes up little to no space, cleans easily and stores away nicely. This kit will last forever given any amount of care.

Handy kit.
I am a terrible cook, so it is probably on me, but both pans warped the first time I used them. I was cooking in sub freezing weather. Someone suggested that it was the fact they went from freezing to flame that caused that to happen as they are very thin. Still, I am happy they are stainless and not aluminum. I will not be cooking crepes or anything like that, so the fact they are warped won’t really matter. They were a fair price, and again, they are not aluminum, so that is a plus.

Boy Scout Camping
After reading reviews and price lists we bought 2 of these meal kits for boy scout camping. They are the best. They certainly beat the crappy aluminum ones the boy scouts promote. They big enough to cook something in and small enough to be easy to carry. I thought i wanted a metal cup to heat water in but I haven't missed it. I just use the small pan. I don't use the bowl. We just eat out of the pans. The removable handles work great. Little mesh bag holds everything on place. Easier cleanup than aluminum.

great mess kit, and the best part is, IT IS NOT ALUMINUM
i have purchased 2 of these, one for Boy Scouts camp out and the other for my emergency kit. I really like these, but they do not come with a spork so you will need to purchase one from another source. I love the fact that they are strong and well made, things on camp out get beat up and so aluminum mess kits do not last long enough. i highly recommend purchasing a strong stainless steal mess kit for Boy Scouts.

Worked fine for an inexpensive mess kit
Used these on a Coleman camping stove, the pots were fine in size for cooking for 3 people (when cooking for all 5 of us, we'd make two batches). The detachable handle works great, I just don't know why one is not able to purchase extra of these, for added convenience; I tried. Burned food (hard to avoid completely on the camping stove, which is very high heat) is a pain to totally scrub off, and there was a tad of warping, but still fit together, and worked & packed up fine. The plastic bowl & cup turned out to be handy, too.

Amazingly Useful for Amazingly Affordable Price
Went camping for the first time with a couple experienced campers/hikers. Everyone else sort of half-assed trip prep so I was pretty much the only one prepared with any cooking containers. This set was a hit and worked to perfection. We used it over and over again and it was great.Conducts and spreads heat well. Can be a pain to clean anything that burns onto it but that comes with the stainless steel territory. Two complaints:1. Wish it had a handle that allowed hanging over a fire; however, I knew it didn't when I purchased it.2. Wish it had two handles in order to use pan and pot simultaneously without having to switch the handle back and forth. It's easy to switch it back and forth, though. The handle can get a little warm, but just lift with a rag or handkerchief to be safe. You can leave the handle on the pot or pan when cooking without the weight of the handle tipping it over. Handle is very secure.
